Pros:  Small, easy to use, sturdy hinge

Cons:  Non-removable plates I'd been jonsin' for a waffle iron for two weeks; so, after searching and researching, I chose the Flip-side for its price, the flipping ability (to spread the batter), and all the positive reviews it got from other sites. It's still early in the game (just got it this morning and have used it once, hence, the average ratings), but it does what it's supposed to do, and does it quite well. Its small size and upright storage position lets it fit in my cabinet, out of the way. The battery-operated timer was odd; why it wasn't wired into the circuit is beyond me (the timer resets to zero when I pull the battery out to prevent drainage; it'd do the same if it was wired up and unplugged after each use). I do wish the plates were removable, but that's more of a personal peeve than anything. Anyway, it does what the so-called "pro" wafflers do, and that's making a fair-decent waffle. For, I might add, half the price.

Pros:  Easy and fast

Cons:  I wish there was a way to make more than one waffle at once This waffle iron is the best thing I have ever bought for my kitchen. I have bought many small appliances that get used a few times at first and then disappear into storage, but this is something that I know we will use daily. It's easy enough for my 9 year old to make her own waffles, it's quick and easy to clean up. Not only that but the waffles taste wonderful. I would recommend this waffle iron to anyone!!!!
