Cons:
Would be nice for the display to be on the front, rather than on top. Can't see what you're doing with the remote!! I purchased this for $50 at Wal-Mart to assist in heating my 2-bedroom apartment (850 sq ft), in which the water heating would not keep the temperature above 70 degrees. It performs remarkedly well; I'm not sure that I'll need a second unit as well as it has done. If any of you are from Chicago, you know that the beginning of this winter has already been a bit nasty. Assembly takes approximately 5 minutes, and only requires a small Philips. There are no rattles or other indicators that it's not solidly designed. The thermostat is in-line with my thermostat and appears to be accurate. The timer and low/high settings, as well as the auto-set feature have not failed me yet. As stated in the "cons", the only change I would make is to angle the display so that it is readable from the front of the unit. I don't like getting out of bed or my TV chair to look at it. Maybe I'm just lazy. The remote, on the other hand, has a great range. When you have a good feel for it, the display shortcoming is a minor issue. This heater is definitely worth a close look if you're in the market..
