SureFire 6P Led Flashlight - Black

Product Description

Compact (pocket sized), high-intensity LED flashlight for tactical, outdoor, and general use. Puts out a smooth, brilliant beam with four times the light of a larger two-D-cell flashlight-bright enough to temporarily blind and disorient a person by impairing his night-adapted vision. And it continues producing useful light levels for an impressive 11 hours on a single set of batteries. Lightweight, strong, aerospace-grade aluminum body resists crushing or bending. Small size, high output, and extended runtime make it perfect for self-defense, camping and backpacking, emergency/disaster-preparedness kits, or everyday carry. Virtually indestructible light emitting diode has no filament to burn out or break; lasts for thousands of hours. Precision reflector creates smooth beam without spots or rings. Rugged aerospace-grade aluminum body, Type II anodized in glossy black. Coated Pyrex window protects LED and reflector while maximizing light transmission. O-ring sealed; weatherproof. Tailcap switch: press for momentary-on, twist for constant-on. Patented switch lockout prevents accidental activation.

Pros:  white light

Cons:  lens head gets hot I am a flashlight junkie. I have several brands. I have a couple Steamlight models and a Lenser also. The lenser is pretty good in that it uses AAA batteries and stays cool. The Surefire gets hot when its on and I'm not a big fan of how it's on/off switch works. You have to twist the tail end to stay constantly on or back it off to use it as a rapid on/off flash. You can't just push the tail end cap to get it to stay on. I'm sure its this way so if you're packing it, it doesn't turn on by accident and cause a fire. The light it throws is fantastic, best I've seen in a small package, but expensive.
