Cons:
Poor quality - kept breaking In May 2006, we bought the previous model and loved it. However, it quit working and we went through 4 of them (at a cost of $10 plus the return shipping for each of them) before they sent us this newer model. The newer model is vastly improved. However, there is a part on it inside that breaks VERY easily if you don't install the plate on the base VERY carefully. The first one broke and they sent us another one. I only used it 3 or 4 times before it broke in exactly the same way. We called them and they told us that, even though it has a three year warranty, they only replace it three times. Therefore, in their thinking, we had already gotten more than we should have out of the warranty. They would not send us another one unless we paid ANOTHER $10 and shipped back (at our cost still) what we had. The only alternative was a coupon for half of our original cost that could only be used for another Cuisinart product. That would amount to $25. So far, we have paid over $100, not counting all the return shipping costs for returning the previous units. We should not have to pay one cent for their poor quality. A three year warranty should be just that...three year replacement at their cost. If their product is of such poor quality that they have to keep replacing it...oh well! I love this popper...just wish the quality were better.
