Pros:  Quiet

Cons:  Hard plastic holds on a metal handle I paid a lot of money for my Bosch dishwasher after hearing they were wonderful. I was extremely disappointed in the way the dishwasher drys dishes. It has condensation drying( no heating coil in the bottom-seemed great at the time of purchase) which leaves the dishes damp! It is a great feature if you like damp dishes. The worst feature of this dishwasher is the handle. I have had mine for less than 2 months and the handle cracked. I was surprised when I found a small piece of the handle on the floor. Nothing has hit the handle. I think it was a stress crack from pulling on a metal handle that is attached to the front of the dishwasher with plastic. What a cheap way to make an expensive dishwasher. Bosch says that it is cosmetic and will do me a favor by replacing it.(I was told cosmetic problems are only replaced during the first 30 days). They would not tell me what would happen if it cracks and falls off again. I asked the store if I could get it replaced by a Bosch without a handle, they said no and Bosch will not do anything about it. They claim that they have not had any complaints. I went to another store today that carries Bosch-had my dishwasher and it had a small crack in the side of the handle and when the saleslady touched it,the plastic started to fall off like mine. I could even live with the damp dishes but to have to worry about replacing a handle is a royal pain. Do not buy a Bosch dishwasher with a handle. My model was a more expensive model than the one shown in this ad. I paid $1259 for mine. What a waste of $1259!

wet dishes - broken handle

Cons:  wet dishes, smell, door handle cracked within 2 months I am very disappointed by the Bosch product. My husband convinced me that Bosch was the best. What I found: The plastic holding the door handle to the washer cracked. I noticed this within 2 months of buying the washer. Today, I found the plastic piece on the floor after closing the dishwasher! It's still new and cost a lot of money, mind you. My dishes are always wet. I often have to sit my glasses and storage containers on the counter to dry. There is a smell which I saw someone else mention. It does go away but it's pungent when you first open the door after running the machine. Also, even though it's the ssame size as my old Whirlpool wsher, it doesn't fit nearly as much. We had to buy a drawer washer to make up for the lack of loading capacity. The other reviewer is right, it does use a lot of Jet-dry. Finally, there is no way to lock the door. Kids can pull the handle easily and get right into the dishwasher - even when it is running!
