Pros:
Uses less water |
| Cons:
See below There is a problem with the pump and spin engaging in the last few minutes of the cycle. There are a number of complaints documented online. Our washer is only 3 years old. We are having the computer board replaced and there is no gaurantee that it will be fixed. All parts and work are not under warranty.

Pros:
Price |

| Cons:
Function Lots of issues with this washer. Unless you keep the door propped open, you get a lot of mold on the inside. Only answer from Frigidaire is it shouldn't happen -- call for service -- not a warranty problem. Several cycles don't completely drain water. I wouldn't waste my money on this product.

Pros:
None |
| Cons:
It grows mold, the smell is in clothes and in the house The product manual tells you to keep the door closed at all times, which we do because we have small children. Keeping the door closed promotes mold growth inside the machine that you can't get out! This washer is HORRIBLE for not draining water and now my laundry room is so moldy, I get short of breath and am having nose bleeds if I am in there for too long doing laundry!

Pros:
Energy Star |
Cons:
Destroys clothing This is the worst machine I have ever had the misfortune to use! It doesn't clean clothes. It stains clothes that went into the washer without stains. It rips clothing. It takes forever for even the smallest, shortest load to complete (which could be a feauture of the technology in general, not necessarily this particular model, but I don't know other machines). In order for things to come even remotely clean we keep the loads extremely small - so what's the point in calling it "energy efficient" if I have to do three times the loads? Truly, the worst machine ever. Don't buy!

Pros:
Looks nice |
| Cons:
Everything else We have owned ours for 2 years and we've had it fixed 2 times. It NEVER drains properly and I often have to wash a load 2 or 3 times until I get it to go through an entire cycle. We have also had a bunch of problems with the dryer and spent a lot of money getting that fixed as well.

Pros:
Does a great job cleaning my clothes |
| Cons:
none I have been using this washer for about 6 months now and can't be happier. It works great (no problem with draining) and the tub has not had any odor ever. I do keep the door open but I did that even with my top loader. It is probably the cheapest front load machine you can buy and I would buy it again. The matching dryer is great too

Pros:

| Cons:
no tension adjustment on serpentine drive belt worked great for about a year-then the drive belt started slipping. replaced the belt with factory order equipment, lasted about a week...went thru this 3 or 4 times, same result. bearings and bushings seem ok, just wont keep belt tension and there is absolutely no adjustment, it now sits in the basement and we use a much cheaper maytag

Pros:
gentle, low water use |

Cons:
Very expensive to repair or replace I've had machines at 1/4 the cost last 10 or more years.
Front loaders seem to have problems.
Frigidaire and dealer were not much help
