Cons:
failed Although my machine was a different model, it looks identical to the picture above. Let me give you the timeline.
Purchased washer in 2004
One year later making lots of noise, squealing and had it repaired under warranty. Main bearing had worn out.
repairman indicated this was a common problem and Maytag had engineered a fix.
Now in 2007 machine is having same problem. Called Maytag and they said I should have gotten the extended warranty. It will cost $200 to fix it so I will be taking a 4 year old washer to the recycling center next week. Need I say any more?

| Cons:
Everything Do Not buy, the temperature control does not work. Uses hot water on rinse cycle when it is clearly printed on the machine that all rinse cycles use cold water. Brought one 4 weeks ago and have ahd the frist one replaced and a service call is now required for the second one. I will be returning this machine and upgrading to another one. This is the worse Maytag appliance I have ever owned
