Pros:  Great Value, Great water, sure beats bottled water

Cons:  No Complaints what so ever We purchased the whole house EQ 300, The point of use with faucet, AQ4000, and a shower system, AQ 4100. We've been using them for over 4 years and have had no problems. I am a woman and replace the filters myself with no problem, I just follow the instructions. Haven't had to change the whole house filter yet. Our skin and health have improved since began using these products. I totally love Aquasana water filters, and definitly wouldn't want to be without them.
It sure is nice not having to deal with the hassle and the guilt of plastic bottles. What do they do with all that plastic?

Pros:  Sounds good in their advertisements

Cons:  Bad valve design, will not stand behind warranty and high installation costs A trusted plumber installed this system in my house. During the installation he warned me about the plastic valves used by this system. He explained I always tighten the valves by hand or they may break. Plus because I hand tighten the valves, they usually leak on the first few attempts. Sure enough they leaked on first few attempts. About 15 hours after the install the plastic valve entering the water filter system broke flooding my basement during the night. When I called the manufacturer (Aquasana) their rep blamed the plumber for over tightening. The manufacturer knew I had copper lines when I described the problem because their plastic valve is not suited for metal water lines. When I asked why they did not use metal fittings, the rep explained that would make our product to pricey. The manufacturer refused pay for anything except their cheap plastic valve. I know the plumber did not over tighten still the manufacturer refused to pay any of the additional plumbing costs to replace the broken valve. The manufacturer claims the valve has no problems but even a local plumber knew there were issues with their plastic valves and how did the rep know I had copper lines unless there is a design issue. Also the stated price for installation is simply untrue. If you live in almost any large city the installation cost will be over $500.
