TMX Elmo

Product Description

T.M.X. Elmo will tickle America's funny bone with three interactive tickle spots on his chin, tummy or toe. When kids tickle Elmo once on any of the tickle spots, he starts to laugh and slap his leg twice, then falls down into a sitting position and rocks himself back up to standing while laughing. When they tickle him a second time, he repeats the pattern even more, then sits down again and falls backwards onto his back and starts kicking his feet while laughing even harder. He then stands back up and asks to be tickled again. And on the third tickle he absolutely lets loose going through the first two patterns and then rolling over onto his tummy where he starts hitting the floor with his hand in gales of laughter, then rolling onto his back, standing up again, and ending with a deep sigh. Requires 6 AA batteries.

Pros:  Cute the first 3 or so times you play with it

Cons:  Annoying any more than 3 times I happened to be in the right place at the right time when I came accross the TMX elmo. After remembering how popular the original one was years ago, I decided to purchase a few of these toys for the holiday season.

Now these are very well packages, and look really cute..but when you start to play with them, they become so annoying. I took one to the office to show some of my co-workers. When you "tickle" him, he starts slapping his knee, then rolls on the floor laughing uncontrollably. He then stands up again (or tries to if you have carpet) and resets himself.

This toy is really cute..but be prepared for the annoyance after the holidays. They should come with a set of complimentary ear plugs for the parents. One more thing..battery life is not that great. But for the technology..this is a great toy.

Pros:  Very cute

Cons:  robot like I bought it for my daughter. She was afraid of it. And she loves Elmo. She would hide from it. We actually returned it. In talkingwith other people, I have found the same thing to be true with their children. Elmo is supposed to be cuddly and this tmx elmo is a robot. Hard body and his tickle spots actually have to be pressed not tickled. Conclusion: adults seem to like it, but children are afraid of it.

Pros:  Kids love it! Adults love it!

Cons:  None The TMX Elmo is very hard to find, but if you check your Toys-R-US in the mornings or simply buy one on Ebay for $65+, you'll get one for sure by Christmas. It's worth the extra $20 to just get it and not waste hours looking all over town and online. Just make sure you're getting a good deal. $80+ is paying too much. You can get it with shipping to your door for around that price. I purchased two of them and love them.

Pros:  Fun

Cons:  None Don't spind more that the retail price of around $40 for this toy! You don't have to. It is crazy that some places are charging so much for this toy when they don't have to pay that much to get it themselves. Just go to the store (Toys R Us is best) when they first open. They get shipments almost everyday and they put the Elmo TMX out before they open. You just have to get there when they open, if they don't have them, keep checking back.

Pros:  cute

Cons:  none i purchased a TMX Elmo on ebay, cost of elmo plus shipping was $90-- a little pricey, but the TMX Elmo was on my xmas list-- i was so excited when he arrived, i immediately took him from his box, and tried it out-- he's too cute!! i wouldnt trade him for any amount of money-- elmo is great-- although, a little child MIGHT be afraid of it because of its bouncing around, adults are sure to get a kick out of it!
