Pros:  picks up pet hair well

Cons:  hose bulky I had a Oreck for several years but it wasn't picking up like it used to and never got the carpet edges clean. I vacuumed twice in one day and then went and bought a Rewind. Scary! Vacuumed the house once and had to empty it 6 times---lots of dirt and dog hair and it gets the edges well. I found the hose a little bulky but otherwise the vacuum performed way above expectations.

Far better than expected.

Pros:  equally proficient on hard floor or carpet

Cons:  bit noisy.. New, so durability yet to be decided but for the $90 we paid it would be hard to find better. As the first reviewer noted, when we vacuumed over our 'old' vacuum's work we were astonished how much more we picked up. Obviously our old vac was going down but still..And, it did all three floor types we have equally..car decking with persian area rugs and complete carpet upstairs..Just hope it lasts.

I wouldn't settle for anything less...

Pros:  Unbelievably light and quiet and effective

Cons:  The hose is a bit short and tight I am moving into my own apartment after a break up with my fiance and I had to get my own vacuum. He had bought the Hoover Elite Rewind because it was cheap, but I had done most of the vacuuming with it. I knew when I went out on my own I had to have the same model. The mini vacuum attachment is great at getting pet hair off of furniture. The cord disappears with the click of a button. You can see exactly what you are picking up with the clear cannister. Emptying the dirt is easy and mess-free by releasing the cannister and walking it out to the dumpster to keep the dirt where it belongs... outside. You have 7 carpet length settings to choose from and the deeper you go, the more it lifts the carpet and makes it look like new. This makes it a bit harder to push, which may be why one of the other reviewers said it was tough to push. Compared to other vacuums that are 5x as much, this is one of the best investments you can make in your home.

GREAT!

Pros:  Value

Cons:  A bit noisy I love this vaccum- I just got it and was compelled to write a review as I have seen mixed reviews on it. I have absolutely no complaints on this product.
The suction is amazing and the tools are conveniently placed. I really love this vacuum. Highly recommended.

Pros:  cheap

Cons:  doesn't clean well, you have to clean the filter all the time, the hose gets jammed even when you are not using it, heavy to push. Our previous Hoover was old and was time to buy a new one. The Hoover rep showed us this new vacuum and we thought it was a good deal (for $90.00). But this vacuum cleaner is awful! There is a little red indicator that shows when suction is not properly functioning - and it turns on all the time, every single day! If the vacuum cleaner bumps into a piece of furniture, the red indicator goes off. It is horrible and extremely frustrating. To make the indicator go away and to restore good suction, we have to empty the bagless area and clean the filter - which is a time consuming, MESSY job. We also have to clean the hose by banging it on the floor - there is always tons of dirt stuck inside the hose and the funny thing is - I never use the hose! The dirt just goes up there due to poor designing. I am so disappointed with this vacuum cleaner. We took it back to the store, and they gave us a new one. It worked ok for a couple of days, but now it is doing the same stuff again. It is just a bad vacuum cleaner unfortunately, and $90.00 thrown in the garbage since now I have to buy a new one...
