Pros:
great coffee, easy to use |
| Cons:
expensive Granted, it's expensive. But, I've NEVER had a problem with it. Controls are super easy to use. Easy to pour water into the reservoir without spills. QUICK brew time. Carafe feature keeps coffee warm. Simple clean up. Slim profile allows it to not take up excessive counter space (a plus+++++). My mornings are so much better because of this machine.

Pros:
Simple to use/easy to clean/good brewed coffee |
Cons:
pricey**but worth it** I've had mine for 3years and it still works like the first day. Timer works without fail. Overall size looks good on the counter without screaming "bulky".
This is the first coffee maker I have had for this long period of time. A great investment!

Pros:
Easy, doesn't keep cooking it |
Cons:
$180? I couldn't believe it when she told me she spent that much on a coffee maker, but, after the messes, failures, etc. of less expensive coffee makers, I think she got a winner, and it's worth the price.
We like the fact that, once made, the coffee stays warm in the thermal carafe for hours. She likes the stainless steel and small amount of counter space.

Pros:
Brews hot and fast - great controls |
| Cons:
pricey Not sure about support, haven't needed it and we've had it for over a year! Great coffee, hot (not like some of the other reviewers) and keeps hot for hours. I get up early and my husband doesn't. It's still good when he gets up. Will buy another when this one wears out.

Cons:
NONE i am a former full-time coffee professional. i am accustomed to the highest quality equipment available. we sold a variety of home-coffee makers at our shop, some more expensive and some less expensive than this capresso MT500, but THIS is the one that i recommended, and the one that i bought for my friends. mine has NEVER failed to brew a perfect pot of coffee. i give this my highest recommendation.

expensive I've had the machine 2 years with no problems, makes great coffee and as far as hot coffee, if you like your coffee as hot as McDonalds buy your coffee there. Makes perfectly hot coffee that stays hot for at least good hour.

Pros:
Completely reliable, consistent, easy |
| Cons:
Could be hotter, but there's a solution Reliability: excellent, no problems, buttons etc working perfectly four years later despite daily use. Because there's no carafe heater, the coffee has to warm up the carafe itself. Pro: your coffee is not "baked" as with cheaper units. But the coffee does cool off when it hits the cool carafe. Solution? POUR HOT WATER in CARAFE before use, let it sit in there a minute, dump it out, make coffee. Much less heat lost from coffee to carafe.

Pros:
Easy clean-up |
| Cons:
Deplorable customer service I agree with some of the other reviews that the coffee doesn't come out hot enough, but I don't actually have too big a problem with that. However, I had a question about descaling the machine, so I called the toll-free customer service line. They told me to read the manual that came with the machine, and simply would not address my question. Gee, thanks.

Pros:
great coffee all the time, very easy to use and clean |
| Cons:
now other coffee does not taste as good I have had this coffee maker for over 2 years and it has preformed flawlessly. When guests come to our house we often get compliments on our coffee. I think the carafe is a big plus, all other coffee makers I had in the past used a heating element to keep coffee warm. This however affected the flavor after a while. The carafe keeps coffee hot for a long time without affecting flavor. If temperature is important to you use hot water to warm up carafe before you brew your coffee. I used a thermometer and the machine is very accurate at controlling temperature within the specified range. I highly recommend this product.
