Pros:  price

Cons:  does not work we purchased this mainly because of the price. for the life of me i could not understand how much better a $700 machine would be compared to this much cheaper machine. I read review after review and knew better...but the price drew me in.

We mixed up a batch, chilled it, and put it in the machine. We turned it on and it was working perfectly. After a short time the machine starting getting hot and emitting a foul odor. Something electrical was burning up. We returned the machine and got a full refund. I was very dissapointed that a brand new machine wouldnt even work one time. I wish i could comment on the quality of the ice cream. Obviously, if it is not built well enough to mix one batch there is an issue.

After this we purchased a $400 machine - lello gelato 4090. we were amazed with the quality of ice cream it was putting out. it was much better than any store or chain bought weve had. the compressor went out after 2 batches and of course we were quite upset and got a refund on this one as well.

We bit the bullet and purchased the musso lussino 4080 for a whopping $700! I did not think the quality could get better than the lello gelato, but WOW!! The creaminess and texture is unbeleivable. in a short 1.5 weeks, we've made 25 or so batches! We are the envy of the neighborhood. Everybody wants some. If your looking for a compressor type maker, save your money until you can purchase this one. it is heads and heels above the others we have tried. It is very attractive looking and much better built. It truly looks, feels, and operates like a commercial unit. And the ice cream..if they could get you to taste it before you bought the machine...they could get an extra couple hundred bucks out of it!
