Cons:
A bit pricey but perfect size for a couple of retirees I've been amazed at the bad reviews I've read here because we have been thrilled with our dishwasher. Since my husband installed it in July, 2005, it hasn't given us a moment's trouble. The 2-drawer design attacted us to the model in Lowe's. A full-size model seemed an awful waste for the two of us but this was a great idea. We love being able to wash smaller loads and it's perfect to sterilize the visiting grandbabies bottles/etc. Contrary to some reviews here, we find it extremely quiet compared to any dishwasher we've ever heard! It's been excellent in cleaning the dishes thoroughly. Baked on macaroni casserole dish came out sparkling clean. Slow cooker ceramic base came out sparkling clean. Only once did I find any residual scraps on the plates & I had packed the unit too full. It's a keeper!

Pros:
Looks Great SS/ Classy |

Cons:
No Heater element, No food Processor, Very Loud We bought the DCS by Fischer and Paykel 2 drawer Dishwasher. It looks great BUT it is very loud, its worse than my 16 year old GE it replaced. No food disposal unit, No heater element. It has the worst repair #s in the industry by double. I also have to pay a 20% restocking fee to send it back but it will be worth it.($160 I must admit the Two times I had to call Fischer Pakel the service lines were quick and the guys on the phone were very knowledgable.

Cons:
Bottom drawer not tall enough for dinner plates I wasn't sure about buying this model, but I am very glad I did. I bought it a year ago, and recommend it to everyone who asks. I have never once noticed undisolved detergent or spots on dishes. The output is very clean. The machine uses only powdered detergent (saves money!) I like being able to run loads at different times, and also the economy settings that are available (complete wash in 38 minutes, nice when there are guests). Overall, I am very pleased with this model. I bought mine on sale for around $1000, comparable to better dishwashers, and have not been upset with it at all.

Cons:
High cost and frequent service calls We've had this dishwasher for 3 1/2 years. There are two of us, and it's used generally once a day. You pretty much have to wash the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher or they aren't clean. In addition, it has begun to have frequent breakdowns. The service man says if you use the recommended amount of dish soap, it overflows, shorts out the electronics in the bottom, and it has to be turned off, dried out, and restarted at a cost of $108 per approximately 30 minutes or less visit from the service man. I would not buy this dishwasher again, and would advise everyone else not to buy it. At $1200 it is a white elephant. I've had Kenmore, GE, and Maytag dishwashers in the past, and had better luck with the cheapest Kenmore they make.

already replacing This is the absolute worst thing we've ever bought. We have had to replace, at our expence, just about everything there is to replace on this piece of junk. We could have hired a full time housekepper for what thing thing cost. Multiple motors, circut boards...horrible.

Pros:
they look nice |

Cons:
Customer Service and repair are horrible...a nightmare actually! Fisher and Paykel dishwashers are terrible. They break down often and then getting them repaired often takes 4 or more visits (read: expensive charges) and the customer "care" agents are terribly rude. Even the repairman stated expect to get them repaired every 2 years! I will happily be sending my 5 year old, $1700 Fisher Paykel Dishwasher to the dump and getting another brand -- really any other brand. Do not spend your hard earned money on Fisher & Paykel appliances -- you'll spend more money on repairs for these high maintenance, low performance appliances. Learn from my (expensive) mistake.

Pros:
Cool Idea for the 2 drawers |
|
|
|
| Cons:
Expensive; breaks down all the time I purchased a new home that already had the unit installed. Within a few weeks the unit stopped working and I was told one of the board was bad -- had that replaced -- 2 years have gone buy and almost every part has been replaced. We hardly ever use the machine as it stops working 50% of the time and beeps an error message that too much water is in the unit. Also the machine is very loud!
