Cons:
Expensive, noisy, akward We bought the Dyson DC15 (With the Ball) today. First the good: It as great power picked up dirt no other could (We have a Sears Kenmore and a Hoover). The extending hand wand allowed us to easily reach spots we couldn't with the others. It is lighter than what I expected, but still not that light. The ball really allows easy maneuverability as advertised. I was able to complete the vacuuming in about 2/3 rd the time. Emptying the canister is simple and easy. Ok now the bad: First there is a terrible high pitched whine about 3 KHz (like a 6 year old girl screaming) and about 90 db (Turn your TV up a bit too loud). Being an Engineer myself, I took it apart to find the source of the noise. It appears to be a design defect in the filter outflow where there is a 3 vane air director and a grid. By placing an additional air deflector behind the grid, the whine can be made to go away. Again about the engineering (the supposed advantage) there are too many styliz

customer service is awful. too strong for my wool/silk area rugs i called and ordered a hepa filter, which I was charged for - but they sent me a pre-filter and refuse to send me the hepa filter...honestly, my dogs are more helpful. if you need customer service, dont plan on calling on Dyson.?They will ignore you!
