Pros:  increadible suction

Cons:  I think they should have used more ABS plastic Vacumed the first time with it and it looked like the rugs were shampood when done,I was absolutely amazed. The canister filled three times in the livingroom alone.Generally speaking we vacuum a lot due to the fact we have three dogs and three cats, but I was shocked at how much stuff actually came up off the rug.The advertisement is absolutely true this Vacuum does not loose suction even when full.I believe Dyson delivers whats promised with this machine.

Pros:  Powerful suction, easy to use, no bags to buy

Cons:  none I ordered a Dyson Cyclone Animal (purple) about a year ago. I had been using a Kirby vacuum cleaner for about 10 years prior to this. After I vacuumed the carpet in our living room for the first time, it looked like it had just been professionally cleaned! I couldn't believe my eyes. Then I was horrified by the thought of all the dirt, dust, hair, and gunk that wasn't being picked up by our Kirby. Yuk!

It's so easy to use and it works better than I expected it to. It's a little gross to see everything you pick up with it, but it's also interesting to see how much dirt you can pick up in just one use! You don't even have to get your hands dirty to dump the canister.

We have 2 cats and it picks up pet hair very well. I use the attachments for getting the pet hair off of the furniture and cleaning the steps. I switch it to bare floors and clean our kitchen and entry way...it's a wonderful vacuum! No adjustments for carpet height, easy to access the wand and attachments, and easy to carry upstairs.

I will never own another brand of vacuum cleaner and highly recommend it to everyone.

Pros:  Suction is awsome and tools work well!

Cons:  Seems a little to much plastic; Hope it holds up. After reading several reviews on Dyson vacs we were eager to get a new vac. Had an old $400 Panasonic that was 6 years old. The Dyson pulled hairs and dirt out of the carpet that our old vac obviously wasn't sucking up. There was alot of pet hair from our two dogs. The smell and dirty bags that we had on our old vac were not appealing every time we started it up the old vac. No longer with the Dyson. The tools worked well. Used the turbo brush on the couch and it got all of the pet hair off of it.

Pros:  Awesome!

Cons:  Price I have a yellow labrador retriever that is constantly shedding little yellow hairs everywhere. The rug in my living room has these little hairs all over it, and in the past, the only way to vacuum it with any results, was to get on my hands and knees with the hand held attachment of my $130 Regina 12 amp Vacuum Cleaner, and scrub the heck out of it with a back and forth motion for 15 to 20 minutes. Even then, I have never been able to get it completely hairless. The first test I gave to my new Dyson Animal, was this rug. Using the normal stand-up feature, I spent about 30 seconds vacuuming the rug. Not only did it pick up every single hair, but the canister collected about an inch deep of dirt and dust. I still can't believe it. It is absolutely amazing. If Dyson were to drop the price of this thing to the $100 to $150 range, they would put every single vacuum cleaner company in the world out of business. I am not exaggerating. This is, by far, the most incredible device

Pros:  Sucks up EVERTHING !!!

Cons:  beater bar (brush) needs cleaning alot I have a friend who owns a vacuum cleaner repair store. He doesn't have a contract with Dyson so he can't carry their products. Two years ago he told me to buy the Dyson animal. He said its the ONLY vacuum on the market that DOESN'T lose suction when it is sucking up dirt! I have a long hair German shepherd and boy does she shed hair! This vacuum picks up every bit of it! The hand tools are great for getting under tables and the bed!
The only bad thing about the vacuum is that the beater bar (brushes) get alot of hair wrapped around it. I have to clean it once a week, and it tips over pretty easy when I'm using the hand tools. BUT don't let that stop you from buying this vacuum!!! Best vacuum I've EVER had!!!!! worth the money

Pros:  Great suction, no bags or filters to mess with

Cons:  Price I've had this vacuum about a year now. It replaced a $1200 Filter Queen. Let's just say I won't go back to the Filter Queen. I have a Golden Retriever and I'm amazed how much hair I pick up every time I vacuum. My dog should be bald losing all that hair!

I was afraid of all the plastic parts, but as much as I've abused it, nothing has broken or fallen off.

If I had to do it again, I would buy the exact same one again. In fact, I'm thinking of getting one for my office as no others seem to hold up as well.

If you're in doubt about buying one, go for it. You won't regret it.

Dyson DC-14 Animal meets the hype!

Pros:  Performs beyond expectations!

Cons:  With so many attachments you need a case to hold them, which isn't included I bought my wife one for recently and we were amazed at how much dirt was picked up. We had a Dirt Devil for the past 10 years and knew it wasn't the best, but we vacumed and cleaned our carpets often. Now with the Dyson we are more confident that our familty members with alergies won't be as affected as they were. Most of the dust is picked up and all the dog hair comes up with ease.

Dyson's may be expensive but they are definatley a worthy investment.
