Pros:
Lots of nice features including clock, timer, reheat, etc. |

| Cons:
Nice features don't work. We bought the Whirlpool Gold model 5 years ago atter our 20 year old Kenmore finally quit. The warranty is good for only 90 days. Shortly after 90 days, the clock quit working, then it started shaking when running. Finally, it sounded like a bomb went off, it got very hot and burned the wall plug-in. This is a dangerous piece of junk.

Pros:
nice looking |

| Cons:
flimsy construction I bought a entire kitchen of Whirlpool Gold and are happy with all except the microwave. The problem is the plastic covering the metal shield. Upon installing the microwave I realized the plastic covering was hanging off. One month later with numerous calls a technician came only to try to install the wrong door. Waited again and he came with the proper door but ruined the model installing it. Finally numerous phone calls later to Whirlpool I went and took the microwave back to Loews. We opened the box and come to find that the plastic was all bubbling in certain areas of this model as well. The spots are in the center so at least the plastic is hanging off so we installed it and are using it. Eventually ,down the line we will probably have to get a entire door.

Pros:
Cooks well |
| Cons:
Flimsy construction While the m/w works fine, the door plastic cracked after 2 years and the handle split along the screws. I heard similar stories from neighbors with the same m/w (maybe same or different models) experienced exactly the same type of failure. The parts are ridiculosuly expensive ($160 for door! and $460 for the oven). They make a living out of a $50 product!

Pros:
The automatic buttons work great |
Cons:
None I love it. Even baked potatoes turn out great and are very easy to do. Just put them around the carousel and press baked potatoes on the front and it sensors the baking time. The defrost works well too. The meat is defrosted completely but not cooked around the edges. I would recommend it to anyone.
