Saeco Vienna De Luxe Espresso Machine
Product Description
The Vienna Deluxe puts Saeco's patented removable brew group technology into an easy-to-use interface. You can now make espressos, cappuccinos, lattes, and tea all from one machine that grinds, tamps, and brews gourmet coffee. The pump driven steam and hot water wand has an exclusive Pannarello to make frothing milk simple. With Saeco's Rapid-Steam technology you can froth and steam milk with little to no waiting time after brewing your espresso. The Vienna Deluxe's adjustable conical burr grinder makes the perfect grind for gourmet coffee. The Opti-Dose adjustable doser feature enhances your flexibility to make an ideal cup of coffee. Not only can you adjust the fineness of the grinds and the amount of coffee brewed, but also the amount of ground coffee used to make each individual cup from 6 to 9 grams. With a light push, the machine will rotate on its swivel base, simplifying general maintenance and cleaning. Rapid Steam: Immediate steam and always ready, thanks to the double boiler; one for coffee, the other for steam. Pannarello Frothing Device: The Pannarello frothing device dispenses steam in three different directions to make it easy to steam and froth milk for cappuccinos and lattes. The Pannarello also dispenses hot water for making hot drinks and soups.

Pros:
Wide range of coffee strengths and cup sizes |
Cons:
Tough to clean I have used this machine for several years and it has worked flawlessly. With a single dial you can select espresso size and strength to a full cup. The machine is fully automatic and the controls are intuitive. I used to clean the machine every couple of weeks. Lately, I do it every few months. The longer cleaning intervals have not affected the flavor, or the machine's ability to function. However, cleaning the machine is my least favorite aspect of ownership. To clean the machine, you slide out components and wash them separately. It takes about 15 minutes. Overall, I am very satisfied with this machine and can heartily recommend it.

Pros:
Once properly adjusted, it makes a good espresso and capuccino |
Cons:
It makes noices I have had this machine for several months now and I like it very much. At first I had problems with priming the machine and I had to send it back for adjustments. The service was good. Once I adjusted the 'grinding setting' and the 'dose adjustment' correctly ( it wil take several trials) for the coffee used, I use french or italian roast, an excellent espresso and cappuccino was obtained. One problen that I have is switching the type of coffee. This cannot be done until the grinder is empty or vacuumed out. If you have a guest that wants decaf, you cannot accomodate.Well! we have other types of coffee makers. Another problem is that the machine makes a noices when it grinds the coffee and a couple of popping noices after that. Over all I think it is a good machine for the price
