Pros:  Easy to set-up & use

Cons:  Need way more than the starter discs My 4 year old daughter received this toy in early Dec. for a birthday gift. Once you program it to your DVD player (like a universal remote) it's ready to go. One cool point is that it has a 3-position switch in the back, so you can program it for up to 3 rooms or different DVD players. (Living room, Bedroom, Grandma's...)

She is already computer/internet literate. I have a 2nd computer next to mine & with broadband, she can play on Nick.com, PBS Kids, Noggin... without constant guidance. She found it pretty easy to figure out and after a few minutes and had no problems navigating through the controls. It's like your watching a cartoon like Spongebob, and occasionally, the action will stop and you will be asked a question with a choice of 3 answers. If you get it correct, the cartoon procedes. If not you will be given another hint. (What's Mister Krabs thinking of? Hmmmm... MONEY! and so on).

The only drawback is that the initial disc and cards that come with it are not original material, so she already knew the story and once she got going, they lasted only 1/2 hour each and once she did it a few times, she hasn't asked to use it again.

But like a PC, if you don't have any software, what are you supposed to do with it? So we bought her 2 more disc kits (I only saw 5 at Target) for Christmas. I just hope they keep her occupied longer. It's cool, but if you're going to give this as a gift, get at least 1 more disc pack or today's kid will get bored with it pretty quickly.

Man, when I was 4 I thought Ker-Plunk was cool!

I would recommend this!

Pros:  I love that it is wireless and you can program up to 3 different tv's

Cons:  Sometimes it seems a little hard to press the area you need on the controller We got this for our daughter for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! She is only 2 1/2 so she needs a little help when playing. She loves the Sesame Street games. I was undecided for a long time on whether to get this for her...now, I'm glad I did!
