Piece of junk

Pros:  programmable

Cons:  carafe does not pour water and coffee go everywhere. Filter basket does not sit well on carafe and sometimes the sneak-a-cup feature is activated causing coffee to over flow the filter basket--what a mess. Hot plate begins to rust almost immediately and B&D will not honor warranty. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

Overrated coffee maker

Pros:  Makes a decent cup of coffee

Cons:  cheap plastic body leaks It's hard to find a good, reliable, long-lasting coffee maker these days. I have a black model, with a gold basket replacing the paper filters. I've had problems with the auto shut-off not working correctly and flooding the basket; grounds floated everywhere and it ran onto the counter. But the biggest problem is leakage. My coffee maker leaks when I put in water and let it sit overnight with the timer on. I noticed that I only got about half a cup, and then found a puddle of water on the countertop.

This is the top-rated coffee maker in Consumer Reports, but I found it to not be durable.

Pros:  All you need for simple good coffee

Cons:  It quit days after Warranty expired Our first one, in black ran good for a year, then quit.

Our second, in white ran good for three months before refusing to heat up.

Pros:  The sneak-a-cup feature is great when you're in a hurry

Cons:  The timer can be tricky to work I've had mine for a while now and it's the best coffeemaker I've had yet. It brews great coffee, and is easy to clean and take care of.

Best value for the price

Pros:  Good design,

Cons:  None This is our 4th or 5th B&D coffeemaker of this design. It's the best value for the price. I love the stealing of a first cup full of aroma. The new models have a better pot design that does not leak when pouring the water into the coffee maker. The auto shut down is great and prevents coffee from getting too old or burnt to the bottom of the pot after all the water evaporates.
It's true, the heating elements only last about a year with daily use but what do you want for a low low price. Go to Walmart and get a new one.
If it fails before the warranty expires, B&D service is great, just call, give them the code that is stamped into the plug and a new coffeemaker is on it's way.

Pros:  Makes good coffee !

Cons:  none This is your basic coffee maker and it works just fine ... don't know what all the griping is about. And I paid $14.95 which makes it a steal, it has worked for 3 years and still going strong.

Pros:  It makes good coffee

Cons:  to many features, for this price all I want is on/off I have had $200.00+ coffee makes and this unit, I got to say the net result--coffee form this maker is good. They burn out in a year or so, and I have had about three. But my $200.00 went out a little after a year, and made no better coffee. Hey for the money it is a great value.

Pros:  Sneak-a-cup before done brewing

Cons:  None This is my second Black & Decker! My boyfriend accidently broke the first. We immediately ran out, replacing with identical maker because of our overwhelming satisfaction & confidence in this model. We love the features. We love the coffee!

Pros:  makes coffee!!!

Cons:  works most of the time This is most certainly not pour perfect. Coffee goes everywhere, I have to pour over the sink. It seems cheaply made. I remove the pot to pour a cup,and when I try to put the carafe back it doesn't seem to want to go properly. There have been a few times I turned it on and it didn't work. However, when I turned it off and back on it was ok. Coffee also doesn't seem to remain hot for long. So far. Hey it wasn't expensive (it was on sale when I bought it) so you get what you pay for.

Pros:  Brewed coffee once a day for 9 months

Cons:  Quit working after 9 months What on earth! Consumer Reports needs to correct this "Best Buy" rating. Don't purchase it.
