Cons:  Loss of lots of good features that were in Version 17 I purchased a copy of the NEW Mavis Beacon 20 Program to improve upon my own typing skills and to teach my three daughters, 11,11 and 13 years old. Previously, I had used the Deluxe 17 Program, and I bought the newer version for my family. I was suprised to discover that the newer version is not nearly the quality of program to the prior verison 17. A lot of the best features are gone from the newer program; there is no intro to typing, correct finger position and posture - all things I wanted my girls to learn. The new version is difficult to follow and you can't select an age category. There is no "quick help," feature like there was before. I had to weed through the online manual to try to find out how to change my daughter's level from intermediate to beginner, and I never could find the answer. There isn't flexibility in the program, for example, you can't opt out of the games and move on. Also, the old version had helpful written feedback after you completed a lesson. In this version "Mavis" talks to you and makes inappropriate comments; I made 20 errors on a lesson and she said, "You did well on the review." It's a loser - either buy the old version or do what I did and buy the 2nd Place Pick on Top Ten Reviews, Typing Instructor Deluxe.
