Cons:
i hate this model and acer too just bought this laptop a few month ago.jan2008.this laptop hot very quick. my assignment is gone quickly.it has need a full support with cooling pad. embrassing!!! when i'm going to travel.. i have to bring this cooling pad too.because of this laptop, my assigment is gone.i have to do it again with carefully. every capital letter, i have to save it.
please, look back this model.wasting my money rm2100.00.

Cons:
half the speed of my older PC from 7 years ago This thing stinks. I now use my 7-yr-old PC with Windows 2000 more than I use this Acer because it is 2-3 times as fast (i.e. you don't wait 8-12 seconds for a window to open, process to launch, etc.)
Comes cluttered with advertising material, esp. in the explorer window.
Windows Vista (included) is no treat, and although it claims you have admin rights when logging in, half the programs I've tried to install will not as they claim you still "must have admin permissions". What??!
At least the cost was relatively cheap, but I guess you get what you pay for.
Don't repeat my mistake; save yourself :(

Cons:
still a bit heavy well, the main reason why i had chose this laptop is because its specs. before bought it, i am looking for a laptop that at least equipped with good graphic, sound, and optical drives. the processor speed is not my main concern. and i got them all in this laptop. here, in indonesia (my country) the type that i got is the one with 1,9 ghz athlon x2 processor, 80 gb hdd, 512 ddr2 memory, and nvdia 7000. the hdd size is a bit small, but that won't be a problem since i can cover it by buying the external one with 250 gb capacity. moreover, i also expand the ram onto 2024 mb (by kingston), adding some amount of money. there it goes. now i got a wonderful gadget...
another additional consideration is the support. integrated webcam, bluetooth and wi-fi attached into this laptop would be a good value.
$ 656 is the basic price (dec 2007) in indonesia and i paid $ 724 after the memory upgrading. worthly, isn't it??

white keyboard, the weight, the heat.... this is my first laptop, so for me, as long as i can use it for internet surfing, storing data ie. songs, pictures and stuff. it tend to heat up pretty quick, so i had to buy this coolers....the rest, i think is ok, no problem at the moment. will be looking for a new, faster, lighter, smaller size laptop though....in the future, that is....

Battery & White keyboard This is a great laptop with all the todays needs like : wi-fi, bluetooth, webcam etc.
This fullfils my needs, I needed a laptop where I can run 3D Studio Max, and it performs very good, although while rendering.
I reffered it to my relative, and those are happy too.
Great value for money.
Graphics performance is Great.

Everything I bought this laptop in December. It has been sent to the "repair" center twice now for the same problem. Something happens where the plug no longer charges the battery and so it dies. I have paid over $50 in shipping to ship it to them to get it fixed and everytime I call customer service I get someone who is rude and doesn't want to deal with it. The 1st time it died it took 2 weeks to get it there and fixed and back, this time it has been 2 weeks and they still have it. It has great specs but the speed and workmanship and sound leave MUCH to desire...
