Pros:  Size, Ease of use, quality of images and video

Cons:  Only con is not being able to plu into TV without the cradle I just got this and haven't really done enough with it to be terribly critical.

That being said my first impressions are that "I love it".

It was purchased to be used on our motorcycle rides where space is a premium and I wanted both image and video capability without tapes. It is truly shirt pocket size and with the 8Gb card can record 1.5 hours of hi def video at 720i and/or thousands of stills at 3072x2304.

An extra battery is a must as it only lasts about an hour, hookups to PC and TV are with included cradle (which has charger built in); I would also like a direct hookup so you could play a slideshow or video wherever there's a PC or TV, maybe next model. It’s a snap to use, the menu is very friendly, without being a chauvinist; my wife can even use it without being overwhelmed.

Overall I'm very happy with my decision to buy. There is also a model HD-1000 which does 1080i HD rather than just the 720 of this one, but it's bigger, not pocket sized and if you want those capabilities perhaps you should get something more conventional.
