Shoddy workmanship Bought in March was moving to another part of the house and "tapped" (i'm serious) the end of TV against the bed footboard and the screen cracked. We were told Samsung DOES NOT cover any cracked screens

Pros:

| Cons:
poor material and workmanship, support non existant After several months of research and thousands of dollars on the purchase and custom installation of my unit, here is my experience along with hundreds of others so far as reported in forums and online reviews. although the LNT5271F has a great picture at 1080p 120hrz, particularly with the use of a blu-ray player the unit is filled with issues. The LCD and logic boards the company uses are of substandard quality, resulting in an outbreak of dead pixle issues on the TV. One morning you will go grab your coffee and click on the news and see a long black line start to spread vertically across your display. This has occured not only to me but countless other owners. When you call Samaung they are very aware of the issue, to the point there has been a release of a new model the LNT5281F. This happened to me after 90days of ownership. When Speaking with Samsung, they wil not under any circumstance replace the TV, what they will do however is send a tech to my house to dissassemble a brand new unit to replace only the LCD display panel. By the way, I now have to pay my Av installer to come remove the unit from the wall and then reinstall it when they are done at my expense. On top if all of that when I asked for an exchange the gentleman on the phone told me that this conversation would go now where, nice support for a purchase of this size. Even worse is that after this repair has been performed on other units, it happens again, and again, and again.... DO NOT BUY THIS TV OR ANY OTHER SAMSUNG PRODUCT.

Pros:

| Cons:
none my first large flat screen has been a good purchase so far. I researched several TV brands and models and while seeing this one compared to others side by side decided this was the best. At this time its only hooked up to basic cable, but in a few days will be hooked up to HD satelite so I assume the good picture quality will be even better.
