A bit heavy for shirt pocket I gave it to my 11yrs old son as a gift and the next day a lot of hairline appears on the back,when I put the unit in a silicon casing the click wheel didn't respond as it should. Apple should the least include a battery charger.I've tried using a covered high end headphone and " yes! the sound is superb ",overall even using the supplied headphone, I'm satisfied to introduced what good music should sound like to my son and not to forget the picture too.

Hard Drive The iPod Classic was not bad, I liked the amount of space and the picture and video quality BUT since the memory is a hard drive and not a flash memory the iPod will sometimes make a little clicking noise and you can feel the ipod loading and stuff while you're holding it. The price is excellent for 80GB but I'm going to spend $40.00 more and get the iPod Touch. I just don't trust the fact that the memory is hard drive and I don't like the weird noise it makes and my iPod actually restarted itself the 2nd day I had it.

Cons:
getting hung the i pod is very useful, albeit bulky. all its features are very handy, especially the big keypad that is very easy to use. but most times you try to use it, it gets hung. Even when you charge the battery, then too, there is a problem, for it needs charge up to 7 hrs. overall, its a good bargain if you are looking for comfort and ease, but if you can tackle these two problems, then the rest is easy!
i found it very convenient, and the features are great!

Portability I recieved this unit this christmas and ever since I opended the box, I've been falling in love. Apple, your a god sent!!! I never have to worry about not having music, movies and pictures on seperate portable devices anymore. For this I think. I recommend this product to anybody wanting to go next-Gen.!!! Great Job Apple!

EQ this is my first ipod. so far it is looking good for the ipod. i love the features the ipod classic comes with. like the cover flow, very cool. sound quality, if you keep it off the available EQ settings, it is great. i have not yet benn able to put my 80gb ipod classic down. it is great for on the go. overall a great product

screen locks ever since they made this iPod classic i have had problems with it. i preferred the original to the new one. i have finished downloading roughly 8000 songs and now the thing keeps locking up. i just want my money back. wont buy this product fromapple ever again.
