Pros:  flash on and off

Cons:  would be nice to have an eye piece. ive had several cameras and this is one of my favorites. first to shut the flash on and off you just flip the flash up and down.no lenghty menus to go thru to turn it off. i also found that this camera takes awesome pictures. we had a camera that had more megapixels than this one but its picture quality was terrible compared to this one. dont always believe them numbers. it takes a great long distant inside picture without darkening the image like alot of others do. it could use a eyepiece though for those sunny days. other than that this camera deserves a A++ for the quality of pictures it takes,it could easily be placed beside many more expensive units and you wouldnt even know !!

Pros:  I like the 10x Optical Zoom and the Flash!

Cons:  N/A I have a month with this Camera, the fact that is a Canon camera you're thinking it's a very high quality camera. Before I bought this camera I was doing a lot of searching for this camera and in every review it had the 5 STARS and had a lot of great reviews. I have taken a lot of great pictures. I've using this camera for a lot of different usages. I like the fact you could use when ever you need to use it. I was impressed with the video, it looked liked if I had taken it with a camcorder. I liked this camera I hope so do you!

Pros:  Best value for our use at home and vacations

Cons:  Lengthy process to understand all of its settings Had researched many digital cameras by internet and friends. Found that Canon was the best buy and quality for my needs. "Office Depot" had dropped its price $50 in one week from the time I looked at it and bought it. Will take it on vacation this coming week.

Oh boy, here we go. BAD Canon.

Pros:  Great pictures when it takes.

Cons:  Not a durable or reliable camera. I bought this camera in May of 2008 because I had an old (26 yrs) 35mm Canon that I loved and it always took great photos. After about 6 months, the camera started to fail to focus at random. The lens jammed in September '08 and would not retract. It gave me a reset message. I took it to the photo supply dealer that sold it to me and the owner replaced the batteries which made no difference. He finally bumped the camera on his hand and the lens retracted. By November of '08, the camera would not focus at all and he sent it off for it's first repair which took about 3 weeks. The repair only had a 90 day warranty by Canon. In February, the camera begain to stop focusing again but I thought it was lighting/white balance at the car show where it was being used. By the end of march (more than 90 days later) it stopped focusing again. Canon made a "good will repair" with no warranty. Now, four months later (July) it has started to randomly fail to focus again and the lens rattles when focusing or zooming. I paid $399.00 for the camera. If I had paid the $125.00 they originally quoted me for the second repair I would have $524.00 invested in a camera that now would (or soon will be) useless and only lasted 1 year and 2 months of very light use. I will not buy another Canon product for a very, very, very long time if ever.

Pros:  good zoom and high quality pictures

Cons:  batteries and flash charge length Experts say the human eye can't tell the difference between 6megapixels and higher. The big difference after that is the optical zoom. The zoom on this camera is great and the pictures turn out really good every time. It has an "easy mode",which even tells you if you need to lift up the flash.
But,after a while, you'll figure out all the options.
I'm not a fan of the fact that it uses alkaline batteries though. It makes the camera heavier, and you have to constantly change batteries, specially if you're using the flash. And the flash sometimes takes a while to charge before you can take another picture.
It's not pocket-sized,but it's not huge and bulky either. Its quality is worth its size and its all worth the price!I love it!
