Pros:  ease of use, bright screen, compact

Cons:  No owners manual, no case provided This was my first GPS purchase. Its very easy to use even though Garmin has yet to publish the owner's manual. Street names are usually correct, but once in a while it doesn't say the name exactly as it should. This is not a problem, however.

I would recommend this to anyone wanting to purchase a GPS. My wife takes it with her wherever she goes. Fits in her purse and battery life is good. Would have liked Garmin to provide a soft case with the product to prevent the screen from getting scratched. A small wallet sized coin older works great.

Go buy one and enjoy!

Pros:  Easy & Accurate

Cons:  Limited info in manual Yes, the manual that comes with it is pretty limited. The operation is simple, though, and it only takes minimal intelligence to operate it. One slight hith was that when I fired the unit up the screen brightness, (from the factory), was minimum and it took me awhile and some close looks to get a screen that was usable. Everything is great now and I'm very happy with it.

I LOVE IT AND USE IT ALL THE TIME

Pros:  PORTABLE

Cons:  SEARCH FOR SATELLITE A LITTLE SLOW I love the way you can look places up
while someone else is driving. The one my husband has installed in his SUV you have to pull over and stop to look up places or new directions.
It is easy to use, easy on the eyes,
and cute that it says the street names even if they pronounce it wrong it gets me to the places I need to go. I just love it!!!!!
Everyone should have a Garminy.

Pros:  ease of use, clear bright screen, 6 million point of interest

Cons:  dashboard mount is permanent, needed to buy a seperate mount bought this to use for business travel, so long battery life is important feature. very simple menu and easy to follow instructions.

If I had a hammer.....

Ratings:  3 out of 5
Pros:  ease of use, bright display

Cons:  directions correct only 90% of the time, updates to maps should be easier I was moving to a new city so I bought a GPS to help me get around. I was going to a business 16 miles from my home, this device took me 17 miles BEYOND my destination. If I had a hammer.........
When I turn the unit on, it's supposed to find its own location via satellite. It is usually 2-3 blocks off the mark, therefore, the resulting directions are invalid.
By the way, the maps loaded at the factory are about 2 years old and getting updates is inconvenient, requiring additional equipment. I would not recommend this unit as I have all but quit using it. I plan to purchase another unit after some exhaustive research.

wish i had gotten one sooner!

Pros:  so easy to use, compact enough for my convertible

Cons:  owners manual My husband got this for me because I am always lost. I thought it would be too much of a hassle to learn to use and that I wouldn't end up using it. Not so! You don't even have to open the setup guide to learn it, it's so easy.

It's reliable in its directions and I will never travel without it!!!

A must for travelers, teenage drivers, and the directionally-impaired
