Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ18K Digital Camera
Product Description
Experience the power of an incredible 18x optical zoom in a 8.1-megapixel camera that fits in the palm of your hand. From vast landscapes to super telephoto shots, the DMC-FZ18 gives you crisp, stunning images using a 28mm wide-angle Leica DC Vario-Elmarit lens. For macro shots, the wide-angle setting lets you shoot all the way down to one centimeter from your subject, while the telephoto setting can be used up to one meter (3.28 feet) from your subject. With the Extended Optical Zoom function, zoom power is boosted to around 28.7x (in 3-megapixel resolution mode).

Pros:
Stabilization, Intelligent auto settings, manual focus, closeups to 1 inch, etc |
Cons:
Zoom feature is VERY fast, you gotta be quick or you zoom too much !! This Panasonic camera makes closeups, scenery, nighttime shots, auto and manual focus settings, and color settings a breeze. It has two auto modes, one is like many others (automatically setting focus, speed, f-stop, etc) but Panasonic has this Intelligent Auto mode that is far more advanced, letting you take almost perfect photos in any light condition, any focus situation, etc. Editing photos and zooming into individual pixels, it's amazing how well the stabilization works. In the manual focus mode, a digital zoom is used like a magnifying glass, zooming in on the center of the image and letting you set the focus on very fine detail. You have to see it to believe it, but it's VERY impressive. Panasonic makes impressive TV production cameras, and professional video cameras, and this is an excellent example of their camera design knowledge.

Pros:
Super zoom, great lense quality, lots of futures, low price |

| Cons:
too many things to learn how to use it, no outside flash Great little camera that does it all and more. It does things that the average photographer will never use, and it takes some time to learn all its futures .. once you think you have learn something you forget something else, one too many for the camera so it take some time to get used to it.Good price .. I had it since March 2008 and had no problems whatesoever.
