Pros:
Fast, dependable, runs both OSX as well as windows. Does it all out of the box |

| Cons:
A little pricey but well worth it. My previous lap top was a sony vaio, and I want to tell you that this mac beats the living day light out of it. First of all, I had no experience what so ever on a mac. This comp is sooooo easy to use it isnt funny. Right out of the box its begging to edit pictures, make dvd slide shows, edit home movies. I mean I couldn't believe on how user friendly OSX and well the mac in general. Let me just say that I will not go back. Apple rules!!! try one and you will love it. :D

a bit pricey? Great product! It's the 3rd day since I got it. It's my first Mac, I had no problem getting used to the new OS, everything is simple and intuitive. Great performance: Core 2 Duo processor at 2.4GHz (Santa Rosa platform), 2Gb RAM, 15" screen with LED backlight, 160GB hard drive (i took the 7200rpm option), great battery life. Everything is awesome. Maybe a little bit pricey?!? I won't go back to a PC, i'm a Mac user now!

Cons:
Heat Issues, Duranbility concerns, only 2 USB ports, Standard Warranty very limited Ex IBM Thinkpad owner, moved to Apple after Lenovo, fubar the thinkpad line. This macbook is very pleasing to the eye . It looks and runs like a brand new Ferrari. I do how ever have several concerns, only 2 usb ports ? Thats pretty bad, Considering every add on device uses USB, Should have eliminated that Firewire 400, and replaced it with an additional USB port. as a previous thinkpad owner, i do realize that the MBP is not built for the long term, bumps of travel, rather it was made to please you the senses. Last but not least, this thing get retarded hot, and i believe this has lead to the ram failure i experienced. I took it bad to the apple store and had it replaced. I guess this product and its warranty is not really targeted to the Professional who demand rugged durability and Thinkpads amazing warranty option. When my think pad had a problem a tech, came out to my home or business the very next day with a truck full of parts in case it was needed. Apple's warranty can take a hint from IBM thinkpad warranty, if they intend to have the professional buy the MBP.

Pros:

| Cons:
none. I have been looking for the laptop for over 9month and was looking into sony vaio AR570 but after I went to the Mac store and try it out, it was so much faster and user friendly, lighter, better qulity, battery life is 2x longer and quieter. fast internet. and id add up much less than sony AR570. I got the high res. and 160g 7200rpm. can not ask for more, except maybe 3 years warrenty.

Pros:
it can handle with ease even the most processor-intensive programs and NEVER need a restart/reboot. MONSTER |
|
|
|
Cons:
Heats up quickly, microsoft apps run sketchy (like office) and battery life could be more I have this computer for a year now and have been working in music editing and doing some film projects on it. It handles HUGE projects that consistently crash my desktop PC of the same specs (2.4Ghz/2 GB ram/etc). This is hands-down the best laptop available for someone who really needs power with portability. If you're a person who just wants to do spreadsheets and check email and stuff, you don't need this machine. (that AIR is a really nice choice for simple computing) BUUUUT, if you're working on graphics, heavy apps, recording, video editing, this is IT. Don't waste your time on another.
