HTC Touch P3450 Cell Phone

Product Description

The HTC Touch is the first device to feature TouchFLO, the new underlying touch screen technology developed by HTC. Consumers simply sweep their finger up the display to launch an animated, three-dimensional interface comprising three screens: Contacts, Media and Applications. The interface can be spun by swiping a finger right or left across the display, providing efficient access to the features consumers use most. TouchFLO also enhances finger touch scrolling and browsing of Web pages, documents, messages and contact lists.

Leveraging the broad functionality of Windows Mobile 6 Professional, the HTC Touch includes Outlook Mobile, Office Mobile, Windows Live and the capabilities to run thousands of third-party applications. Users can surf the web with Internet Explorer, send and receive emails, chat on Messenger and send files to their own web space through Windows Live.

Pros:  TONS of features

Cons:  Battery Life I have never owned a smart phone before this one, but it is worth it. I love the ease and capabilities of this phone. My only complaint is that the battery seems to drain anytime I do anything on it (listen to the mp3 player etc.). But all in all it's a good investment.

Pros:  Compatible with mainstream business platforms like Exchange.

Cons:  Won't get you "oohed" and "awed" like an iPhone. If you're a professional like me who needs more than a "pretty" phone, then take a look at the HTC Touch. Unlike the iPhone it will connect with my MS Exchange server, enabling it's awesome direct-push technology.

The custom software from HTC that is touch enabled makes the most common tasks for a phone/PDA device easily accessible via simple flick movements.

Where other PDA phones I've used fall short is in call and phone function quality. Not so with the HTC touch. Calls are crisp and clear, with the built in speaker making everything sound good.

Simply put, the HTC Touch is easily the best phone I've ever had.

Pros:  Size, Unlimited Customization and software avail, Internet, email, media

Cons:  Battery life for my heavy usage I bought this phone in December 07 and I absently love it. You can't event imagine what you can do with this phone when you buy it and that's a part of it. I use this phone to automatically sync with my cop may exchange server to receive email, contact list, calendar events and tasks, in ex' I can select a picture for a contact in outlook on my office computer and 2 second later it's in my contact list on my phone. If your company don't have an exchange server, they phone will sync via USB connection or Bluetooth with your PC.
This phone is also my MP3 player, I download all my music to the external micro SD card, I have a 4gb one buy you can buy even 8gb card today. I use a stereo Bluetooth headset the S9 from Motorola for both music and phone calls.
The part I absolutely love the most is the ability to download all kind of software for this phone for free!!! I downloaded Games, Wallpapers, Ringtones, Theme. You can change the look of the phone according to your mood without paying extra$$$ for each feature, the phone is totally customizable.
I recently download some plug-in, I can now watch YouTube and any other streaming videos on my phone. That is in addition to the Sprint TV free service I get from Sprint.
Bottom line, after having this phone I won't go back to any other phone unless it's an upgrade of this phone.

Pros:  small; light; nice to hold

Cons:  Took a while to figure out the right place to touch to get to the right control on the screen. The phone looks a winner with it's nice small compact bady. The speakers pretty loud when playing sounds. Then when you like to use the featured touch screen the control seems to play hide and seek, till you get use to the exact spot to activate the touch scroll features. That's too pretty limited not as feature full as the iPhones. Comparing to the estimate price of the iPhone, this phone would be priced out.
As a phone that depended on this touch screen feature to sell itself; it need to be rework to have a friendlier touch, sensitivity.
In the end I did not look at it again...

Pros:  Windows OS

Cons:  Very limited battery life This phone rocks. I love all of the features. It is better than my Treo 650. I love the fact that it operates on the Windows platform. It syncs to my outlook program. It is faster as well in launching programs.

It is definitely an upgrade from what I had before.

I recommend this device definitely.

P.S. - - The features are too numerous to list here.

Pros:  A great phone for expert users.

Cons:  1X Call priority, Over 2GB music Download This is a great phone for expert users that can maneuver around some of the important short comings of this phone that has to be fixed for the every day users. 1: The biggest problem is when you are not in an EVDO location and your phone switches to 1X mode and your phone is constantly checking for email or active sync all your calls will go to your voicemail and your phone will not ring and you cannot change the priority on it to stop the data connection and allow calls to come through. Thus this phone is not a good choice for people with business critical needs. In previous phones you could change this option. 2: If your SD card is over 2GB you cannot download the free music that Sprint advertises with one of there plans or should I say cannot download at all from sprint music.

Pros:  full internet, for sprint the phone comes in pretty clear

Cons:  keys lag, internet browsing goes out of control, forced to use the stylus sometimes I had this phone for about 6-7 moths, after having the palm centro, and now am going back to a palm. This phone is OK, but the main problems are how SLOW it is. It feels like you are running vista on a crappy computer. When you scroll down a big web page too fast, it goes totally out of control - which the palm did not do.

You can tell how slow the phone is just by dialing the numbers. When entering in phone numbers, it lags to show up on the screen, and you cant type too fast -- which is more of a windows mobile than an HTC touch issue -- but this phone should have been backed with a much faster 600mhz+ mobile processor with more RAM. This phone is really just underpowered, some of the icons are too small, and you get in many tedious and frustrating situations that you don't get into on palm or blackberry.

The major plus though is the ability to use all those windows mobile apps, as well as a lot of the older pocket pc apps, like NES emulators.

Pros:  Internet, Messaging, Video, MP3, Camera

Cons:  Not adaptable with Apple computers, battery life lasts about a day. This phone has more technology and options than I know what to do with right now. But that is great! I know over time I'll learn how to access everything and appreciate all of the tools. Just be ready to spend some time learning how to use your phone because it is basically a new miniature computer. It is an excellent phone though. It is not difficult to use, but is probably more technology than a young teenager or child needs and is not good for someone seeking simplicity.

My name is Cait, I'm 18, and I'm a college student at University of Oregon.

Pros:  Windows mobile 6!!! You'll get any app. or programme for this phone. Very user friendly.

Cons:  Low battery life. One has to download programmes to get access to advanced settings to personalize this phone. Rather it can be embedded in the phone by default. Touch flo needs refinement. A great phone!!! Love the camera and it's features. It not too bulky like all other windows mobile devices.A keypad is not really a necessity for such phones if one's a quick learner on the on screen keyboard. Also, the block / letter recogniseer needs a lotta refinement.

Respect!!!
