Cons:
None as yet. No USB cable in the box was a bit rude. This phone is perfect for what I want to do:
-Make and receive business calls.
-Take photos of a good enough quality to upload to Flickr or a web page.
-Store a few podcasts for when I am away from home.
-Be unasuming, light and small enough to fit into my pocket without being a pain.
-Have all the basic stuff just right, including letting me customise the phone just the way I want it.
A happy Nokia 6300 consumer.

cam has no flash and poor battery life My friends keep on praising my new phone. They say that my nokia 6300, which is color red, has a very elegant and "hot" look.
Well, i agree!
The camera of this phone is very addicting! The only problem is that it has no flash :c i love taking pictures of my self but i cant use my phone in dark places.
When i'm attending night parties and when i'm at disco bars, icant use it as a camera. Too bad coz i dont wannna bring my digital cam when i'm at party venues.

camerei foto este sub asteptari, captura video se face doar in rezolutie QCIF (176 x 144 pixeli) si autonomia se siteaza la gama inferioara a valorilor oferite de telefoanele actuale Ofensiva celor de la Nokia continua. De data aceasta, finlandezii s-au gandit sa mareasca familia modelelor din editia a III-a a Seriei 40. Noua vedeta este se numeste Nokia 6300, principalele sale arme fiind designul conservator, mini USB si o carcasa slim dotata cu aparatori din otel.
Caracteristici esentiale:

Principale dezavantaje:

⢠Filmuletele video sunt facute in format QCIF(176 x 144 pixeli)
⢠Butoanele laterale sunt greu de apasat

Nokia 6300 se doreste a fi un succesor al modelelor Nokia 6230/6230i. Si inclinam sa credem si noi acest lucru. Motivele sunt numeroase. Nokia 6300 are un look slim modern, fara sa fie incarcat de elemente decorative inutile, un meniu cu multiple functii precum si tastatura si display de exceptie.
Un telefon suplu
Comparativ cu Nokia 6233, Nokia 6300 da senzatia ca a tinut o cura de slabire, fiind mai subtire cu 6 mm. Parametrii sai sunt: 106 x 44 x 12 mm. Desi este acoperit cu aparatori din otel, Nokia 6300 cantareste doar 91 g.
Nokia 6300 vine cu o combinatie cromatica de negru si argintiu. Tot ce inseamna argintiu este confectionat din otel. Zonele de culoare neagra sunt confectionate din material de plastic lucios. Display-ul si partea functionala a tastaturii se afla in interiorul unui cadru negru, usor iesit in relief. Acest lucru ne face sa il asemanam cu Nokia 3230.
Constructia telefonului este foarte solida, din cauza multiplelor elemente metalice folosite. Din pacate, din cauza folosirii materialelor lucioase, amprentele mainii sunt vizibile pe toata suprafata telefonului. Pentru a scapa de urmele nedorite este recomandabil sa fii aprovizionat tot timpul cu servetele speciale pentru curatat.
Exteriorul telefonului
Din cauza designului slim, partile laterale nu beneficiaza de multe elemente de control. Partea stanga nu contine absolut nimic. In partea dreapta intalnim un buton dublu pentru controlul volumulului, care este functional numai daca il apesi foarte puternic. Butonul pentru controlul camerei nu este situat aici, din cauza capacului metalic de pe spatele telefonului care acopera si partile laterale.
Pe ambele parti laterale, la imbinarea dintre capacul metalic si plasticul negru intalnim cate un led acoperit de un material de plastic alb. Ledurile te atentioneaza palpaind in albastru atunci cand ai ratat un apel sau cand ai primit un mesaj. Daca doresti, poti dezactiva ledurile din meniu.
In partea de sus a telefonului se observa un buton inchis/deschis, care poate fi folosit si pentru a schimba rapid profilele soneriilor. Marea surpriza o intalnim in partea de jos a aparatului. Locul Pop-port-ului( intalnit la majoritatea modelelor anterioare de Nokia) este luat de un conector standard miniUSB. Avantajele sunt evidente: cu aproape orice cablu( chiar si unul de camera digitala) poti conecta telefonul la un computer.
Conectorul miniUSB este acoperit cu un plastic solid care se potriveste perfect. Din pacate, inlaturarea a plasticului se face extrem de greu, insa dupa cateva saptamani de utilizare a telefonului vei trece peste acest impediment.
Langa conectorul miniUSB se afla doua sloturi rotunde. Slotul mai mic este folosit pentru conectarea incarcatorului, iar cel mai mare este de fapt un jack audio de 2.5 mm folosit pentru atasarea unei perechi de casti. Ma intalnim inca doua sloturi care sunt patrate, utilizate pentru microfon si pentru agatatoarea de gat.

Cons:
usb & other connecting I had comeback to Nokia phone after using Motorola V3 for nearly 3 years!. If any I definitely have more features, better style on this new phone. Definitely very user friendly software and features.
The main draw back is that I have not managed to find an easy way to slit open the USB connector - or is it just me ?!!!.
The other drawback compared to V3 is V3 had one orifice for all - USB, Charger, Handsfree. That one-for-all mini USB concept should be embraced by all mobile providers - will they?!!!!

none for my purpose I bought one and glad I did. Compared to what I bought in the past, this thing is the best in terms on price, features and performance.
