Pros:  Worked for a little while.

Cons:  Stopped working! I bought this unit to record movies from videotape to DVDs. Things worked fine for about a week and a half and suddenly - now when I begin a recording after about 15 seconds into it the message comes up, Disk Error, and the recorder spits the disk out. I tried at least 5 fresh disks right out of the package and the same thing happened each time. I did nothing to change the settings from when I was getting successful recordings. Can't believe this unit went up only after I recorded about a dozen movies. Going back to the store!
