Pros:  Great image when viewing HDTV. Easy to setup.

Cons:  Limited picture controls and only two HDMI connections. I purchased the TH-50PZ700U a week ago and I very satisfied with the TV. I wanted a TV with 1080P and a price tag that would not kill me. This TV fit the bill.
The image when viewing HDTV is just amazing. I can't believe how clear it is. My only complaint is that when watching standard 4:3 TV that image gets a little grainy. Not sure if this is the TV or my cable box.

Pros:  Great picture!

Cons:  Missing Cables, could add a HDMI cable or other Great picture and the sound is adequate. I added it to my home theater which improve the sound. My HD source is a cable set-top box attached via HDMI as is the home theater.

The best 50-inch plasma on the market

Pros:  Picture is Excellent

Cons:  Anti-Glare isn't that good The picture and sound quality is excellent. It takes awhile to get use to all the features. The tv overall is the best bang for your dollar. It's one of the BEST plasma that consumer reports has ever tested. If you want to push this tv to it's max you darn near have to be a techno-geek and be willing to shell out some money, but,it's worth EVERY penny!! Check out Consumer Reports if you don't believe me.

Unhappy with Panasonic

Pros:  Good color quality

Cons:  Poor reliability Purchased the 50" plasma @ Best Buy in mid January 2008. Forty days later, it abruptly quit working.
Five weeks have passed and it is still not working. Panasonic conceigere warranty service is long on talk and short on action. Customer satisfaction is apparently not a priority issue to them. Panasonic's contract repair facility is inexperienced, inept or indifferent. This plasma set may have gotten rave reviews from Consumer Reports, but neither the TV nor the warranty service has lived up to hype. Assuming that it can be fixed, I will have, sixty days after the initial purchase, nothing more than a reconditioned TV set. And, as most people know, a reconditioned TV can be purchased for substantially less than a new TV.

Failed out of the Box!! ....

Pros:  Display

Cons:  Will not stay powered on The first day my new Panasonic Plasma arrived the power would not stay on more than 20 minutes. I called Panasonic thinking they would ship me a new unit ... but they had me check how many times my red light was blinking ... they seemed to know exactly where this was going and in less than 3 minutes told me they would dispatch a technician the following week.

For those wanting the gory details Google the following:

Panasonic+Plasma+Power supply+Blinking Lights

Its an eye opener for those thinking this unit is flawless (as I did when I read the Consumer Reports review) ... and I should add it seems to effect all current Panasonic Plasmas.

At any rate I'm left to wonder how long this will take to resolve and what else might be wrong.

All in all a very bad start for such a highly touted TV.
