Pros:  Nice video quality especially if recorded in day light, not that bad at night if there is enough light, Nice zooming and the good thing is that it records on DVD's.

Cons:  he DVD's that are compatible with it are limited. The still images quality is not that good and you cant take still images without buying a MiniSD card. Its Manual is poorly written. I got it for $341.00, This is the first camcorder I have, I bought it because of its reasonable price and its good features.
First of all, be careful what DVD you buy. it doesn't work with all of them, it warns you on the instructions that it doesn't work with all brands, but it doesn't tell you which ones, so I had to try by myself and I bought a Maxell DVD RW and it worked with it,
Second of all, You cant save the still images on the DVD and on the other hand you cant record videos on the MiniSD card (which you have to buy separately).

Finally, This would be a great camcorder in all respects if pictures taken in the dark were not so very grainy, but you can fix that by taking pictures and recording videos in a more illuminated environment.
