Pros:  A/V out, large screen, ease of use.

Cons:  a little large I have owned the Zen W for about a year now. I love it. It suits me perfect. The controls are far easier to use than the ipod, a larger crystal clear screen, and a speaker (comes in handy sometimes). I purchased the optional wireless remote a few months back and works great. I can d/l movies and plug the player into my big screen and watch the movies on the big screen. I have no need to burn to dvd anymore. The downside is that there is no support for vista and if you lose the media software, you cannot download it. you must purchase it from Creative.

Pros:  Video&Photo quality, easy to navigate

Cons:  Not a recorder, no wireless remote Beautiful is one of the only words you can use to describe the still and video images this player is capable of. They can be absolutely stunning. This pmp is so easy to navigate that my 95 year old grandmother wants one after she saw it! There is just tons of space on this thing. I've already put almost all my music (which is farely extensive) and about 3 years worth of photos on it and i've barely scratched the surface! I still have about 26gb left! I don't have any videos on it yet. It is so cool even for the technology challenged person. It can easily be connected to any tv using the av jacks. The only real downside to this pmp is that it doesn't record video so you can't use it like a dvr. Creative doesn't make a zen player with that capability that i'm aware of. If it did it would be second to none. It's not a big deal if you're not really into movies, but if you are it's kind of a blow, because it would be much simpler to direct record something off your tv than converting all those video files and stuff just to get a dvd on the thing, especially for the techno challenged consumer. If it were a recorder you would just simply put the dvd in the player and record directly from the tv and voila, your favorite movie is now on your player. One other drawback at this time is the lack of a good wireless remote accessory. They only have one that is barely available and i think there are some problems with it, because i don't think it was designed specifically for this pmp. Again, it might not seem like a big deal, but remember this is multimedia playe, not just a mp3 player/photoviewer. If they want you to put your life's entertainment on it, it would be a lot easier to navigate with a good remote! When you connect to a tv, the remote is a almost a must, it's a pain without it!

Better than the Ipod

Pros:  size of screen, compatibility, extendability, versatility

Cons:  accessories, won't play quicktime and certain types of avi's and mpgs need to be converted The 30 gb was given to me for Christmas from my wife and I've only used about 1/2 if it's options. I just bought the mmc/sd card adapter and it's exactly what I wanted. I thought I would be able to rewrite back to the sd card but it doesn't shadow it's main usage.
Pictures look wonderful and even better with the zoom feature. The thumbnails are clear and easy to scoll through with the huge screen. When I attach this to a TV there are no problems either with picture or sound quality (even with a 50' plasma). I haven't tried putting any movies on this yet but I've put a couple clips and TV shows and they look great.
I ran into some problems with getting it to play on a car stereo. Most (99%) stereo attachments are for the Ipod and the FM transmitters get a really bad review. I took a $5 male/male headphone jack from Radio Shack and plugged it into the AUX jack on my car stereo and it works great.
I wish there were more accessories like a belt clip or a better case. The FM radio needs some help but it's not a large deciding factor in the purchase. I also don't like having to convert the majority of my video.
All in all the Zen W works like a charm and I am very pleased with it's long lasting battery, large screen, crystal clear video, and size.

Pros:  Biggest screen of its class

Cons:  Not all video extensions can be played in this device I just bought this Zen days ago. For supported file, it directly transfered to device from computer, but for unsupported file (which quite alot), it converted it first then transfered and this take verryyyyy lloonnggg time.

not all wmv can be play. not all avi can be play... and so on.

but, i love this big 4,3" screen. We can watch movie for a long time without our eyes getting tired.

Replace the earphone with better one. because the one come along with the device is soo bad...

Pros:  Perfect Gadget, Very Good Memory Capacity, Nice Audio,Nice Controls

Cons:  Too Thick, Too heavy, Accessories are very limited I've just both my CZV-W(30gb) and it is awesome and has a perfect features that suit my likeness. It has a good audio output and has a very clear screen for viewing movies and especially for movies. The controls are good but if you can improve it and change it to a JOY STICK it could be much better. The built-in speaker are very good idea and has a good output. Battery can be replaced. The calendars, alarm and other features are very usefull to me.The HD memory is really good.PERFECT! It's the gadget of the Mellinium.
But on the other side it has a room for improvements. First, is the weight and the thickness. It is very heavy and the thickness is in maximum size.If you can make it lighter and thinner that would be nice. Second, the accessories are very limited from case to the cables upto the charger. I can even find a cable that will connect it to my LCD-TV. And third, sometimes the hard drive is very slow in reading or processing the new downloaded pictures. If you can add a feature for a Direct USB connection and a Picture Bridge that would probably end the era of Useless Apple I-pods. Again its a Gadget of the Mellinium!

Pros:  Good Screen and Multiple format compatibility

Cons:  Harddrive lag, thumbnail art, software sync. I have owned the Vision for 2 months now. I have been most satisfied with the player. Although I considered getting something a little smaller. However the file capable versatility is well worth it. I enjoyed being able to play all types of files on it. Ext video av cables were nice.

The controls took a little getting used to. The screen protector that came with was unrespectably cheap. At full capacity the vision tends to start lagging with about a half second delay. However this is just nitpicking. Syncing of this device is a pain. Also adding Thumbnail art was laggy at best. My biggest complaint is the lack of a support for itunes.
