Pros:  Large screen for the money

Cons:  No spec given for refresh rate. 60Hz is all I could get out of 2 of these units I had high hopes for this monitor. I bought two of them. Out of the box, one unit had a dead pixel smack dab in the middle of the monitor. The other one had a dead pixel towards the top of the unit. The analog picture is obviously not as sharp as the digital however, the digital picture is no where near as sharp as my CRT monitor that this was supposed to replace. Controls are clunky. No vertical height adjustment of the monitor. One of my monitors keeps losing its signal and I'm pumping in a brand new video card ATI 9800XT with 256MB which should easily be sufficient to provide for this monitor. No USB ports exist on the unit. My video that played on my CRT monitors will not play on this monitor. I'm suspecting that it is related to the refresh rate. No drivers were supplied. ACER's website crashed in their search engine when trying to find new drivers that might exist. I'm debating whether to return the units or not. If I cannot get my videos to play, I think I shall return them for a different brand.

Pros:  Easy connect

Cons:  Instruction manual is in 1001 languages! Mine came with a CD. But to tell you the truth I did not need any CD or manual, I just tried it by unplugging my old monitor and just connecting the new wire that fit into the old monitor's jack, then I connected the power cord, switched my computer on, and abrakadabra - it worked!! There were 2 cords, I used the one that fit into the old plug. I could have expiremented and tried the other cord (as you can tell I'm not a computer geek)- but since the first cord worked - why bother!

The description talked about DVI - whatever that is - so one of these days I will understand that and use it. But I'm happy with the one I'm using right now.

Overall, this is a great buy for your money.
