Cons:
Size...? I really like the unit, the way it is layed out, etc. It is relatively easy to use, and I'm basically a camera novice...The only thing I don't like is the hand strap and the fact that with my large hands, it is dificult for me to reach the controls. The controls are where they should be for ease of use, etc, but I have to bend my fingers to unnatural positions to use the zoom or any of the feature buttons that are on the back of the camera. After only a few minutes of filming, the back of my hand is tired from constant flexing to move my fingers. Smaller hands probably will not encounter this issue, but if you have big hands, look out - it definitely sucks.

Pixelation when panning I read many reviews on this camera before purchasing and none of them mentioned what led me to return the camera. The images taken while stationary are great and the camera focus is near instantaneous. However when you move the camera, pan, the picture shows what I assume are digital artifacts. The edges of objects show what to me is a pixel artifact resulting in an image that looks fuzzy and almost ghost like. It feels very un-natural. I may have just had a bad camera but when played back on my Sony XBR3 HD LCD it looked bad. I hope it was just a bad camera because the camera is otherwise cool.

Pros:
a 2 in 1 not bulky camcorder..nice features! |
Cons:
be sure to have an extra battery..a bit pricey.. This is a nice video cam. a 2 in 1, you can take videos and photos in this camera. This camera is perfect for small hands. What amazes me in this camera is the picture taken is very clear and detailed even you're using the zoom lens. This also features different scene setting, snow, landscape, beach, portrait, fireworks, etc. If you have big hands, don't buy this camera, you might get annoyed with how Canon put the buttons... co'z you're hand might be too big for the camera :) The microphone works perfectly!.. i can see nothing wrong with it. Over all the camera has a nice features on what you're looking in a videocam, it's HD with good quality video and photos..and it's easy to use..you can carry it anywhere. vaneza

Pros:
Small, pocketable, great image quality for size |
| Cons:
low battery life, mediocre still pictures anti-shake needs work I recently replaced my 3 CCD Sony HDR-FX1 which I paid over $3000 for with the Canon HV10. While I took a huge hit in manual control, the picture quality difference is not that big - a very pleasant surprise for me. It's intuitive and small enough to take everywhere, which means my wife and I now use it a lot more.
