Pros:
color contrast, sharpness, resolution |
| Cons:
nothin yet we got this tv shipped in 2 days ago. it took a couple hours or so to unpack, attach, configure etc., but once it was finally ready, we put in spiderman 2 on our progressive scan dvd, and all i can say is wow! the color contrast is AMAZING, the sharpness and detail is incredible, and it handles the fast-action scenes perfectly. this is my first hd tv, let alone lcd, but i had been researching tvs for 2 months priorto, and i can say with confidence it doesnt get any better than this. the only picture on the same level as the aquos is the sony bravia xbr, but for the price this was def worth it. i ordered through best buy plasma and got a great discount+fast shipment, and so far no problems!

Pros:
Clear picture in between bands of green light |
| Cons:
bands of green light ruin picture I know I sound like I'm beating a dead horse with the banding issue but the problem is horrible. I just paid two thousand dollars for this tv and there are green vertical bands that come and go on the screen. These bands ruin the otherwise good picture. I read a number of reviews about these tv's and read that the banding issue had been resolved, well it has not. If you by this tv you are taking a big chance that you will end up with a big pain. My advice would be to spend a couple hundred bucks more and buy the samsung or sony.

Pros:
Great Picture, Easy to Use |
Cons:
Sounds is just ok This was my first HDTV purchase after spending (I'm not kidding) a couple years researching what to get, I finally pulled the trigger. We decided that LCD was the best way to go and based on what I saw from Consumer Reports, this LDC was the best for the money. I went to Sears who has a price match policy and got the 46" for $2,200 based on the price Ritz Camera was selling it for online. I know I could have gotten a better deal using an online store, but I wanted the ability to go down to Sears in case of an issue.
The TV itself is awesome! I only have basic cable from Comcast, but the tuners pick up all the HD and digit stations over the air, so I decided to save the money and not purchase the HD package.
The sound is ok, but with a TV like this you should have surround sound.
I highly recommend this TV to anyone.

Pros:
Awesome Picture! |
Cons:
Add a Sound System I just received this TV a week and a half ago from Sharp Direct and the picture is amazing! I added a suround sound system and I feel like I am in the movie theatre. Standard DVDs and HD TV are terrific. Standard Channels are good.
I will be getting a Blu Ray or HD DVD player soon.
It looks like I got a good one without the banding issue. I have a 32" Sony XBR2 and this Sharp Aquos LC-45D62U has an awesome picture which is better than the Sony!
Glad I bought it and saved a tone of $$ over the Sony XBR line.

Pros:
Crisp, Bright, Crystal-clear picture |
Cons:
Nothing significant (see review) After waiting to actually purchase an LCD TV, I am exceptionally pleased to have chosen the LC-46D62U Sharp 46" FullHD 1080P Aquos. The screen size is gigantic, the picture is unbelievably clear, and the brightness on the TV is outstanding! I have Comcast cable and the variety of HD stations is quite sufficient. When I first got the TV home, I was only able to receive the "over the air" HD signals. Even then, the TV excelled well past anything I had ever seen before. I found myself watching random public access stations because they were offering HD programming for free! The picture is simply unbelievable. The black levels on this TV are BLACK. Not washed out at all. They are indeed black! The TV offers loads of features via the menu, but right out of the box, the TV is already set up and ready to go. Plug and play, indeed. I believe the only thing I changed on the menu was turning the surround sound ON as it defaults to off. Also, there were some âwhite levelâ adjustments that I put on "medium," though I don't really notice any difference in the picture. The point is it's perfect for use with minimal set-up whenever you get it home. The sound on the TV is great. I don't have it plugged into any surround sound systems and the speakers on the TV are good enough to watch anything. Motion blur is non-existent with the fast 5ms response time. Watching sports in HD is the way they're supposed to be viewed. This same thing goes for regular TV shows that before I was only able to view via regular TV. This means CSI:Miami looks stunning! =) I don't have any gaming systems hooked up to the TV as I'm a computer gamer, rather than console. That said, one of 2 complaints i do have would be that it doesn't have a VGA input for computers. But that's so incredibly minor, I'm not even sure it can qualify as a proper "complaint." I didn't buy this TV to play my computer on it. I bought it for TV and movies. The other would be viewing standard def. TV. I guess that's the sacrifice you make when you get one of these is that regular TV now looks strikingly bad. You can try altering the view using a button on the remote, but there's really now way to make a 480i program look good on the TV. Lastly, people have been talking about "banding" issues with this TV. As yet, I have not experienced this at all. Perhaps I've been lucky. But for all the negativity this TV receives in reviews, I simply do not see it. I purchased this TV 10/28/2007 from TigerDirect for $1599.99. That price was (at the time) approx. $1k less than everywhere else for the same TV. At that price, the TV is a total steal. Since purchasing this TV, I have suggested this model to a couple of my friends, and, I have also gone out and bought LC-37D43U 37" Sharp Aquos for my bedroom. While this TV isn't 1080P, the picture is just as bright, and stunning. I am completely happy with my purchase(s) of Sharp LCD(s). They have been exactly what I have wanted and saved up for. I often suffer from buyersâ remorse after a purchase. I have to say, this is the first time in a long time that I have mad a substantial purchase and do not have a single ounce of regret. I highly recommend this TV as an option if you are looking to purchase a large, high-quality LCD for your home.

Pros:
Easy to use with decent picture/sound quality |
Cons:
TV quality is questionable...Screen goes black when turned on Do not buy this SHARP TV (or other Sharp TVs) for the following reason: The quality of the parts used and/or craftsmanship of the TV is not good. After a year or so every time I turn on the TV the screen stays black. I have to cut the TV on/off many times for it to finally return a picture. Sometimes I have to totally unplug it before a picture is returned. If you research this issue on google it seems to happen a lot. I contacted customer service who informed me since my one year warranty is up they can do nothing for me even though it seems to be a widespread manufacturing issue.

Pros:
Spectacular Picture with Dish |
| Cons:
Need to spend time adjusting Once you have all of the factory settings and kinks worked out, and have a satellite connection, (Yes it makes a difference) It's almost the best display you can achieve (1080i). I don't know what the guy was talking about with the sound. When watching regular HDMI HD content, the sound on this is better than a Pioneer Plasma. I Know, I own both. You have to set up the Dynamic sound on this baby. I scored support low because I simply don't know. Haven't had any problems.

Needs a good set of speakers built it I bought this TV for a good deal less than others just like it.The picture quality is fantastic. It`s light weight is nice also. The remote control is easy to figure out.I really can`t find anything I really don`t like about it.The picture quality is about as good as my plasma.I would recomend this TV to my friends and family.I plan to get 3 more for family members for Christmas this year.Prices vary from one place to the other so I would shop around on line for the best deal.
