Pros:
Stores alot,Small,Very Portable |
Cons:
$420 too expensive,If you drop it scratches I love the ipods I now have four of them,Very easy to use Very organized I could find stuff real easy movies, music, pictures simple but good tech.
But I have a few complants the earbuds bust or break if played too loud, scratches very easily, and if you are going to put 80 MB in a ipod device you better have a bigger and larger battery life way larger.

| Cons:
screen scratches, expensive, only compatible with iTunes I got this iPod for Christmas and it's amazing. I watch all kinds of videos on it. I live with this by my side all of the time. If you really are compassionate about music, buy it! If not, buy a cheap MP3 Player.

Pros:
Amazing video quality, Beautiful apperance and magnificent amount of space |
Cons:
Horryfyingly expensive and chunky. I just got an iPod Video 80 GB as a gift and I must say that it is far by the best MP3 I've ever used. Being a gadget freak I've been often amazed by Apple's products and this is an amazing Apple breakthrough.
The video quality makes a vivid impression of a plasma digital LCD video. Along with it's enormous amount of space you could never go wrong with having your movie night with an iPod Video.
As usual, Apple's amazing sound quality for listening with the MP3 and image quality is at it's finest ever.

Pros:
good video, music player, karaoke and backup system |
Cons:
none I only have 2.44 GB left in my iPod. I currently have 11,100 songs ripped at 192kbps and about 10GB worth of videos (which include episodes of Lost, Grey's Anatomy and several karaoke videos).
I record shows directly from cable into the pc. The shows are converted to mp4s. I wrote a job that will insert the mp4s automatically into the iTunes xml so that I will always have an updated list of files during sync.
I use the iPod primarily for playback but it has come in handy when my USB stick ran out of space.
Since I teach spinning, yoga and cardio kickboxing, I use the On-The-Go playlist quite a bit to create on-demand playlists. Because I teach with the iPod in the gym and it gets dripped on with sweat constantly, I have found it necessary to put a screen protector over the entire wheel and screen. I then encased the entire iPod with the agent18 clear case. Overkill? Probably. But sweat getting into the player via the wheel cannot possibly be good.
I agree with other reviewers' assessment that it scratches easily. I regularly change the screen protector because of all the scratches it gathers over time.
A couple of people in the thread have commented on how unnecessary it is to have 80GB. I say if you have on the upwards of 600 CDs, unless you want them ripped at a lower quality, you will use up a good chunk of 80GB. Maybe the next iPod release will have a substantial increase in hd capacity.
Overall, an excellent product.

| Cons:
The cost I love my video IPod. I love being about to take my movies on the road. The one con is the price. I wish that it was a bit less but after having it for a few week i'm glad that I spent the extra $100 for the 80 GB.

Pros:
Tons and Tons and Tons and Tons of space, holds movies on a pretty big screen for an mp3 player, nice scroll wheel, nice chic look, and lots of other features |
Cons:
STILL no fm radio You just gotta love iPods. They have a very chic look, lots of space(most of the time), games, and the iTunes store works seamlessly with the iPod. Plus, the electronic wheel makes it easy to change the volume(normally, you have to push buttons repeatedly) and scroll down a menu, which makes it less of a pain to have a lot of music on your mp3. The only problem is that Apple CONTINUESLY leaves out one of the most important features; the fm radio. An mp3 player for me just isn't complete without it, and it's kind of a draw back when generation after generation after generation of iPods KEEPS LEAVING OUT THIS FEATURE!!!!!!! Sure, there is a fm transmitter you can plug into your iPod, but that costs another $30. If you really want an iPod AND want fm radio, you can get the fm transmitter. But be warned, it is only compatable with certain models. If it is not compadable with the iPod you want(I'm not sure if it is compadable with this model) and you still really want the fm radio, you might have to stick with just listening to it in the car, or you CAN get a different device.
So really, I love iPods, but they really need to create one with an fm radio built in.
