Pros:
Feels like a "real" camera |

Cons:
a lot of features to learn about properly Both my husband and I missed our older SLRs (Nikon, Olympus)...we tried three sequential point and shoot digitals -- beginning way back with a one megapixel and last with four -- and were always frustrated with the slowness and lack of enlargement capability.
We both fell in love with this camera the first day out. A trip to the beach and an aquarium with our grandson yielded great shots both inside with tricky aquarium shots and on the shore.
It feels like a "real" camera and has the capability of using different lenses (although none of our old lenses will work on it). We can use the great auto features or switch it to manual when we feel more creative.
This camera will be used for pleasure and also for newspaper/magazine freelance work. There will be lots of wildlife and action shots. Because of this we decided on a one gig high speed card for it.
We consider it a good investment and hope for many years of shooting great photos.
