Pros:
price and versatility |
| Cons:
reliability Within 2 years a vertical black line appeared on all copies and faxes. There is no way to fix this and HP's solution is to offer a discount on a new HP printer. No thanks. I've gone on line and found others who have the same problem. Otherwise I have been satisfied with the product.

Cons:
incompatibility of software I purchased an HP Officejet 4315 for use with an Acer Aspire 5000 laptop, and I connect to the Internet using a Sierra Wireless Aircard 860. When installing the HP software, it deleted or corrupted a file, CingularCCM.exe, and caused my Internet to be useless. It would not allow the communication manager to connect to the Net. HP Customer Service was helpful (!) and told me, duh, to install the HP software FIRST then reinstall my Sierra software. HATED IT, two thumbs DOWN..... It STILL wacked the Sierra card software.EVEN after I uninstalled COMPLETELY the HP software. Well, all I could do was a system restore. Still didn't work, so I had to do a system recovery...Well, we know what that meant. I guess if you have the average system and don't intend to use it much, it's ok. But if you intend to use it with any wireless air card, go another route.
