Pros:  Easy To Use, Bright Display, Worth Every Penny

Cons:  None Yet I purchased the Garmin C550 for my girlfriend for Christmas! Neither of us had ever owned a GPS System. And I was a bit nervous in finding the best one, for the best price! Well let me say that right out of the box this unit was worth every penny! Instructions? Who needs the instructions....Just plug it in and GO! The Traffic receiver that comes built in with this unit was a life saver! To use this unit is totally free, but if you want to use the traffic alerter you need to sign up for a subscription for $60 dollars a year! We used it with our 3 months Free Trial Period, and it worked like you would not believe! On approaching a split on the Highway we were travelling the traffice alerter warned us of a 5 mile back up on the Truck Route Side Of The Highway Instructing us to take The Car Only Lanes! And sure enough in about 1/2 mile the other side of the highway was dead stopped, while we cruised right through!!! AMAZING!!!
With the voice interaction and the Points Of Interests Built In...I don't know how we ever lived without it!
I purchased this unit online for about $540...
Hundreds of dollars less than at many BIG retail stores...so do your homework!
At $500 and change this unit is worth every penny in my opinion!!!

Pros:  ease of use and good display

Cons:  sound is a bit to be desired at times while on the bluetooth I recently bought this navigator from my local Circiut City for working in Orange County California. I was using a Magellan for 3 weeks and after I returned from the Holidays had to get a new navi because the boss took his back. I compared the ease of operation and the functions for the price and purchased the Garmin. What a great product. Everything about the 550c is just easy to use. The only thing that I wish is that the sound was a bit clearer at times do to the fact that I am hard of hearing but I just follow the display to get to my next destantion. Thanks Garmin!!

Pros:  Great features

Cons:  Battery defective but was fixed fast My first GPS was a Magellan. I was not really happy with it. Its so slow in giving directions. I always passed on the right street before the guide talks or show the map. It's always delayed. I sold it to someone and bought one. I'm so happy with the product and I told myself This is it! so I bought another one for my husband.

Love it!

Pros:  Easy to use, bright, colorful

Cons:  none After a lot of research about what GPS to purchase for my personal use, I decided to get this one. It is so easy to use. I love that the screen changes at night time to make it easier to see it. I just used the bluetooth on it and it's fabulous. My friends can hear me better when I'm talking through my GPS than when I use other handsfree devices. I would definitely recommend to anyone to purchase this unit.

Pros:  Great selection of voices, good turn warnings

Cons:  No road correction, No QWERTY Keyboard My wife got mine for me and I love it. I have noticed some bad routes on the map, but minor. Would be nice if Garmin would give a way for us to report errors in their maps. I've seen other reports about the cup sticking to the windshield, and found that it won't stick for more than 4 hours unless you use a little spit on it before you stick it to your winshield. I love the option to switch the screen off the map to the speed/time/distance display. It would be nice to add a Via part on it to adjust the route. Over all, I haven't seen the probelms with it that others report on other GPS's and in addition, mine is a refurb.

Pros:  Easy to use and get started. Has all of the cool features.

Cons:  Just a very minor one, the connector for the dc adapter that plugs into the cigarette lighter could be a tad smaller. I bought one for my daughter and liked it so much I had to buy one for my ca. This unit is the most easiest GPS unit I have ever had to work with. right out of the box this is simple. Bluetooth was a breeze and the touch screen and icons are easy to use and understand.
I would highly recommend the Garmin C550 to anyone looking for a great GPS thats easy to use and has everything you would need....

Pros:  Very easy to use

Cons:  I just wish you could program the route you wanted. We travel alot and now we don't have to worry as long as we have the address we will get there just fine. When its time for dinner you just search the resturants and they let you know whats available close by. We have saved so much time and anxiety with this GPS it makes traveling so much more fun. I purchased my unit from Curcit City and bought the extended warrenty, on our last trip the GPS died and we took it to a local Circut City and they gas us a brand new one, So I would really recommend the extended Warrenty.
