Cons:
Terrible support, doesn't work Norton Internet Security 2005 includes Norton Anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam, intrusion detection, etc. It doesn't work! And Symantec can't (won't) fix it.
The product allowed a particularly pernicious adware virus onto my system. It could not then remove it. I wrote to their customer (dis)service people. They cannot understand an email written in English. They keep sending canned replies and doing nothing.
They did eventually update the anti-virus component to recognize the virus, but left the alert on top of all the windows so it impacted everything I tried to do. They wouldn't fix that either.
After several months of emailing back and forth, I did a quick search on the web and found a free fix that removed the virus in ten seconds (the Norton scan took 20 minutes).
NIS is the 6th ranked product of its kind, and the higher ranked products are all less expensive.
AVOID SYMANTEC PRODUCTS AT ALL COSTS.

Liveupdate had some issues initially The support for this product is great. Usual wait time was less than 10 mins and always courteous. I will buy Symantec product again.
