Product Description
Ideally suited to environments where wireless connectivity is needed for non-PC Card enabled devices, this high-speed RoamAbout Wireless Ethernet Adapter converts any Ethernet-equipped workstation or device - including printers, PCs, MACs, Point of Sales Terminals and X-terminals - into a wireless LAN station. Since it's transparent to workstation hardware and software and no software drivers need to be loaded, plug-and-play installation is assured.Connecting a hub to the RoamAbout Wireless Ethernet Adapter allows you to connect up to 16 Ethernet devices to it, allowing several PCs, printers etc. to connect to the wireless network via this single device. RoamAbout Ethernet Adapter communicates with any 802.11a, 802.11b or 802.11g Wi-Fi Access Point - including the RoamAbout AP3000 - as well as with other enterprise network resources such as servers and printers. Also compatible with any other 802.11a/b/g wireless clients in a peer-to-peer configuration, this solution provides seamless mobility, giving users the freedom to roam inside the wireless LAN coverage area without losing network connectivity. RoamAbout is an ideal solution for a wide variety of applications. Whether building new departmental networks where cabling runs are difficult or prohibited, or providing temporary access to laptop users or users with compliant hand-held devices, RoamAbout is the perfect answer to extend connectivity. The RoamAbout Ethernet Adapter is particularly useful for manufacturing floor automation, warehouses, point of sale terminals or other LAN applications where wireless installation, Ethernet compatibility and mobility are required.
