| Cons:
It's a P.O.S Beware!! I purchased a Samsung 60+ inch DLP TV in February 2006. Along with it, a Monster Power HTUPS500 power supply. I am thoroughly impressed with the Samsung and equally un-impressed with the monster HTUPS500 equipment. The Monster HTUPS500 unit I purchased was a $300 accessory for this $5000 television. The Monster Power HTUPS 500 unit failed after 72 hours of operation. I returned it for a refund and instead accepted another....... brand new....... in the box replacement. This replacement unit has now failed after 7 months of use. Please do not purchase these Monster Power battery backups because its quality of service is "zero to none" in the long term. In a nutshell, it is garbage. It has been my observation from similar forums that I am not unique in this perception as many others have been ripped off as well. "Monster" should take a responsible approach and pull these units from the market until the problem is fixed. As an enthusiastic audiophile, I have always been partial to the "monster" product line, but after these two instances, it would appear that "Monster" has decided to change course in favor of increased profit from sub-standard products. Good Luck ....
