Pros:  Wifi/Bluetooth, large screen, 4Gb HD

Cons:  Slow, crashes with some programs, thick It is not a pocket PDA that come with good size/weight.

It is fun with the large screen + Blazer for web surfing + bluetooth keyboard typing.

However, the sluggish-ness when you try to open the contacts when compare with TX you will be a bit upset. And you cannot stream video like PocketPC Media Player.

When playing MP3, there will be skippings when switching to programs. iPod is much better for MP3 playing.

Accessories are a bit limited especially on the cradle.

Stability a bit improve with LifeDrive 2.0 updates after a year, without the need to erase HD for cold boot.

The Linux running on top of it is a bit fun.

Others media devices like Creative or AVOS are alternative choices to be considered. However Palm software are still the most popular, small in size, and widely available.

Pros:  4 gb memory

Cons:  no phone, lost of useless & expensive bells/whistles I bought this item and had to take it back. 1) Palm does NOT even have a customer service tel# for support so when you asked me to rate their customer service, I say "WHAT service or support? They almost have none because their website is intelligible only to themselves????? 2) If you are a business person, you do not need video or music or all this other garbage that costs a lot of money. Business users need a phone and lots of memory on a hard drive to store text files and all your contacts--sales people may have up to 5000 contacts. Why do they think they can just make something up and then try to shove it down our throats for a lot of money? YTHEY SHOULD FIRST ASK WHAT THE PUBLIC WANTS AND THEN MAKE IT!
3) WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get, so I took it back. I then bought a 40GB small hard drive that I take with me wherever I go and which cost $129.95 and got a Blackberry for $34 on E-Bay.
4) I had to laugh...some very stupid people are paying way over $400 on Ebay for this device when there are retailers that sell it for $365 to $360 (Staples sells it for $399) and you cannot return stuff on Ebay, while you can drive/walk back to Staples and return it if it is not what you wanted.
5) SOMEONE PLEASE, please let me know IF you see a PDA with 4gb hard drive AND phone capability. Thank you!

Pros:  huge amount of memory

Cons:  slow, screen and buttons are not comfortable to use I was very disappointed with this device, I found it slow, the screen and buttons are not comfortable to use. The reset is awkward. There were many occassions when the device shut down with fatal error message and needed soft reset. The device froze up on me and is now en route to a service center, hopefully it will be working when I get it back.
The telephone support is adequate but the website information is difficult to find and understand. I have used other palm devices and been very satisfied. The lifedrive was a let down even if it had a huge amount of memory.

Pros:  3.7 GB usable storage, Palm OS, Good screen quality

Cons:  Support not enough in my area, not a phone My LifeDrive by Palm OS is almost a year now and it still up and running like new. This is my first PDA but figuring out the controls is relatively easy. Thus, it is user friendly. The speed of the processor is adequate for most of the programs that are pre-installed to it but not that fast compared to higher end IPAQs. One thing that really blowed me away is the space. I have tons of photos, music, and video and after copying it to my LifeDrive I still have a lot of space for my documents and presentations. THAT blew away the competition. Palm OS also is conducive to many programs such as in health care and looking for and donwloading it is easy. It is real portable though it is a bit thick. First I place it in my pocket but it bulges so I have to carry a small bag just to place it somewhere comfortable. It is really annoying when there is someting bulging inside your pocket.

There are two things that did not impressed me on owning a LifeDrive and that is the support that you get after buying it. When problems crop up, I have to send mail to Singapore when I am in the Philippines. Although the staff has accurate knowledge of the problem, it is better to talk face to face to someone who is authorized to repair or give troubleshooting ways to you. Another thing that bothered me is that it is not a phone, although this is a bit of asking too much. The SMS feature and Dialing feature is useless if you do not have a bluetooth enabled phone. So you need to connect the two via bluetooth in order to use the SMS and Dialer feature. But why used that feature if you have a separate phone? It is even easier to make messages and dial numbers in your phone rather than doing it in your LifeDrive that is connected to your phone. I can live with it if LifeDrive is a phone in itself. That is making life complicated when it is supposed to be the other way around.

But overall, it is a good product. And there are no regrets after I bought it.

Pros:  Better compatiblity when syncing with a computer and easier operation with the programs.

Cons:  LifeDrives didnt come out sooner My first hand held was a Tungsten/C which I truely enjoyed and never had a problem with. Then my curiousity got the better of me so I bought a Pocket Pc a IPAQ 2400 it took me around a little over two weeks to decide I want to go back to the Palm Pilots!!! They are better to operate and easier to work along with the computer. It seems the things you can do with a Palm Pilot far surpass what is capable with the IPAQ not to mention the LifeDrive has a better and bigger screen quality.Way to Go PALM PILOT!!!

Pros:  Life Drive has it all

Cons:  none so far Supports infrared, wi-fi, and bluetooth connections. 4GB of storage, 416MHz processor, records voice memos, plays video, images, and music. Web and email access, easy file management, drive mode allows you to use the device as USB hard drive. It has a SD card slot, and lots of useful software including mobile office.

Desktop software allows you to copy directly or quickly convert video and pictures to smaller sizes for storage on the device. If this thing had a phone and a camera I'd be scared of it, it would be a monster.
