Pros:  Set up, price and quality

Cons:  Lack of USB cable I bought this printer because I wanted to print my thesis personally, at school they don't accept anything else than laser, but hey it is really beyond my expectations! It was so easy to set up, less than 10 minutes and it was printing already. It's fast, really fast, and if you use the Economode status to print, you're way ahead of saving a lot on another toner. I printed almost 3000 pages and it just keeps going... Way to go HP!

This is my favourite B&W printer

Pros:  So easy to use, Prints great, and never runs out of ink

Cons:  none Super easy to set up, Ive had this printer for about two years and I'm going for the first time to buy new ink today. I dont print a whole lot, probably 10 pages a week or so and I could not believe how crisp it printed for the money I spent and how long the ink lasted. I love this printer and recommend it to anybody who'll listen.

Just what I needed.

Pros:  Excellent printing

Cons:  None Needed a laser printer for my home office. Already have an HP all-in-one, was able to use the same printer cable and I just switch cables whenever I need to swap printers ... nothing to it. Very good print quality for a very low price.

It's a great printer.

Pros:  Printing speed is very good.

Cons:  I realy don't see anything bad as far as its class and price is considered. I was looking for a good laser printer for a while. Finally I was introduced to HP 1020. Fisrt of all the price was very suitable for me. The printing speed is very good too.

Now I'm very satisfied for buying this product. There will be no problem printing my thesis, I hope!

Pros:  Affordable printer and toner, and prints great.

Cons:  USB cable was not part of the purchase My toner on my antiquated HP 4L would have cost me $101 to replace. I paid $160 for the HP 1020 printer and USB cable. The paper tray is also a snap to load. The toner cost about $59, cheaper than other HP models. The printer feels solid and you have the HP quality backing you up (even though the company is going thru some shakedown for the moment).

Nice peformer, but lacks the simple things

Pros:  Fantastic print quality, prints quickly, compatible with almost any computer

Cons:  No USB cable included, toner is expensive I have always been a fan of HP printers and devices. This is one of the best printers I have come accross, especially for the price. Sadly, no USB cable was included in the box, so I had to buy that seperate. Also, the toner for this beast is expensive (but I didn't have to tell you that). Toner for every printer seems to be expensive, right? :)

Love this printer

Pros:  Speedy for its size, long toner use

Cons:  The cost is now 3xs what I bought it for 2 years ago This printer was available when Vista first rolled out. I would find it on sale for $99 and full price was usually about $140. It was rated the highest small printer in one of the PC magazines so I was shocked when Vista came out without a driver for it. Since then the HP 1008 has replaced it and it is good, but I loved the 1020. There is an on/off switch instead of a button so when I have it on the powerstrip, the 1020 turns on when I power up the strip; the 1008 has power button has to be pushed. It prints quickly and not too loudly. Toner seems to last forever. Two years ago it was a great value, with today's pricing I wouldn't pay this much.

Buy it!

Pros:  Cheap, reliable, pretty fast

Cons:  none Bought this for $99 over a year ago at Costco. Wish I would have bought more to resell them!!!

I used refurb cartridges and the printer prints great.

This printer is a real work horse.
