the camera does not work with windows xp unlike some of my other usb devices, this one does not work with windows xp. the message says that the device has malfunctioned in spite of loading the drivers.

IMPOSSIBLE TO INSTALL i FEEL i BOUGHT THIS WEBCAM FOR NOTHING i THINK VEO WORKED BETTER i FOLLOWED ALL DIRECTIONS AND STILL CANT USE CAM WILL NOT INSTALL ALL THE WAY... WHAT IS WRONG I NEED TO EITHER BE ABLE TO USE OR i WILL BRING BACK AND GET MY MONEY AND BUY A WEBCAM THAT IS VERY EASILY INSTALLED GOING THROUGH HELL TRYING TO GET THIS THANG INSTALLED THIS IS REDICULOUS.........

Cons:
no thrills or frills Easy to install using Windows 2000 Professional Edition. Works great with Yahoo and AIM instant messenger. Comes with a nice pack of Photo and Video software....
Great for home monitoring as well..

Cheap, no frills Installs on Windows XP quickly and easily. Don't expect a high quality cam. This basic model will capture good qality video. That's what you want, not a Hollywood production. Focus adjustment is kinda cheezy, but ok.

Cons:
No Snapshot Button, Up/ Tilt could use more Up/Down Angle I only recently had an interest in PC Cameras, and Pulled out my old IBM PC Camera that had been sitting for the last few years without use, and it would not install on my PC running Windows XP Pro. After Several Late nights of trying to get it to work, I finally quit and purchased a COMPAQ PC Camera....that crashed my System! Back to the Store I went, and FINALLY found the Micro Innovations WEBCAM BASIC. Not only was it less Money, but it was easy to install, and did not crash my PC. I WAS VERY PLEASED!
You can easily pay a TON more Cash for a Pc Camera, but I did not need anything too special, and this Product was just the ticket for UNDER $20!

Works ok enough, if you can find the drivers for it. |

Hard to find drivers.. and install. This cam is okay for use if you are not worried about quality. Drivers are nearly impossible to find, and installation as well. Better off buying a better cam than this.

lots of them Just for the record.....this cam does work with windows XP. I have one and i am running XP and mine works. The quality isn't that great though. It has practically no features and the picture quality could be better.
