Pros:  Portability! Can record music & play when no/low signal

Cons:  Stand alone device does not pull strong signal as w/home or auto kit Loaded with accesories to plug and play---Home kit, auto kit, headphones, cases, belt clip and on and on! I had the dream of being able to pull a signal in the gym and listen to live XM radio most anywhere, but the device has not done this for me. The signals in most of the buildings that I have entered over my first week with this new toy has been pittifully weak. Even in my office where I sit in a corner with a South facing window, signal is too weak pulling with the unit alone. It does come with a small penlight sized attenna that attaches to your clothing, but I do not notice any increase in signal when attached. Despite my hopes and dreams of a portable XM signal being deflated, I am overall still happy with the unit. In home and auto signals using the home and auto cradles and attennas included have been strong. The ability to record music for use away from home and auto has been the saving grace for my needs at the gym and why I still feel happy with the purchase. XM---NEED MORE WORK ON INCREASING THE ONBOARD SIGNAL STRENGHTH, OTHERWISE GREAT PRODUCT!

Pros:  commercial free/ Great Sound

Cons:  NONE I have been waiting for a portable XM or Sirius radio for years. This is state of the art. I dont have recorded music, and get tired of CDs quickly. Now I enjoy music much
more than on my old Sony Walkman. I tried the car kit and it sounded great.Wires everywhere. Trying it out with my bose wave worked fine. Ijust want to know where I can buy an additional battery?

Pros:  Handheld

Cons:  Cost (except the Lite version) If your ear has been to the ground recently, then you may have heard that more XM2Go models are coming. Well folks, they're here, and they aren't an improvement.

They are the Giant "Tao", and the Pioneer "Airware". Both models include the full car and home kits that the standard MyFi kit offers, and sadly, the same price as well.

This a bit surprising when it comes to the Tao, as it's literally the OEM version of the MyFi, except with a different black finished shell. Giant, who makes the MyFi for Delphi, has trotted this out in an effort to cash in as well, but instead of the savings you'd expect without the Delphi branding, the unit is still close to $300. The Airware, on the other hand, looks quite different. It is narrower, looking a bit less like an iPod than the other two, bit more like a iPod mini, or a cell phone. It's also less ergonomic in design, with its controls laid out in a grid pattern. It also will retail for around the same price.

At the moment, the MyFi is the way to go, except for that pesky price due to the included car and home accessory kits, which has come down closer to $200, but still ain't cheap.

Delphi, in anticipation of the new XM2Go models, has come to a conclusion...sell the MyFi alone. It's called the MyFi "Lite" and is basically the same unit, but with earbuds and a charger alone. It currently sells for around $100 (You can all breathe a sigh of relief now) ;)

If that is still a stretch for you, then there are alternatives like http://www.freemyfi.info

However you get it, you'll be glad you did.

Pros:  Sound Quality, convenience, transportability, record feature

Cons:  No Fast Forward or Rew, Reliability, Poor indoor reception I have owned this unit for over two months now, and besides some reliability problems, and the lack of a Fast Forward feature for your recordings, I love this thing.
My first unit broke within 24 hours. After working fine all day it just refused to power up. Returned to the store, and the new one has also had a few issues, also power related. If I leave it on and drain the battery, it won't power up when you put it in the home base unit. I have to remove the battery for about a minute, then it seems to work. Also when its in the home base unit, sometimes the battery indicator shows it as not charging, when it should always be charging. The record mode also has some problems. There is no Fast Forward function. This is a ridiculous ommission, as this must be the only music recorder and player device in the world without a Fast Forward and Rewind function! The capability of jumping to the beginning of each track is all you get. The memory function on my unit is very slow to switch to

Pros:  Looks Good

Cons:  POOR Sound Quality, BAD Reception Just look at the Cons, enough said. Guy at Curcuit city told me Many others with same result. My FM radio sound MUCH Better than this unit. I have tried everything to make it better and nothing helps. Should have tested one first before purchase. I guess I will have to buy a full unit with XM built in. Looks like that is the only way to get the real digital quality of XM.

I have had it for a year now.

Pros:  Size, it is easy to carry around.

Cons:  Screen hard to read, portable antenna reception poor. I have had this radio for over a year now and I have mixed reviews. I listen to it all day at work and have it directly wired to my f-150's radio. I do love XM service but I would not buy this radio again for the following reasons:
1. You cannot read the display screen outside or in your car because the screen is not bright enough. To me this is a huge negative.
2. It is hard to change channels. Sure it has some presets but with 150 channels the changing channel method stinks.
3. Quality- I have had it for about a year and the radio is starting to just turn off for no reason at all.

Needless to say I am in the market for a new radio and I will not be getting this unit again.

Go for the newer sat. radio receivers

Pros:  Stores up to 5 hrs of audio, large screen display

Cons:  Large, bulky, terrible signal reception, no memory card slots I did the mistake of purchasing the XM radio MyFi about a year ago - if I had known what the portable receivers would look like nowadays, I would have definately waited.

The MyFi is a good receiver for your car or at home - it's terrible for personal use outside or running/walking. You need to hold the receiver towards the southern sky in order to get any signal whatsoever - even the 2m external antenae that you can purchase for it doesn't help it too much. Also, the receiver weighs a good half pound... which makes my older PocketPC feel like a light weight.

I would go with one of the newer, lighter XM radio receivers out there now.

Pros:  Great reception. Terrific device. Easy to use.

Cons:  We set up the home power supply with the docking station next to our home stereo. We would like to have a second home power supply to take with us when we travel without having to undo the stereo setup. The second home power supply is hard to find. Still looking. Easy to set up. The one button recording feature is great. Leave it in the cradle at night and in the morning there is 5 hours of stored music with up to date songs or oldies. The FM radio transmitter makes it easy to use in the car. We just toss our MyFi into the glove compartment where its out of sight but we are listening to our favorite programming on the car fm radio. Really kool. No hassle.
