Pros:
Multi-page scanning, and the interface software, is a hassle |

Cons:
Clear scans Basically, scanning multiple pages with the ADF (automatic document feeder) just doesn't work. When scanning from inside Adobe Acrobat, it only pulls the first of multiple pages, and when scanning from the HP Director software, it refuses to scan to text, scanning to something like a tiff file and naming it .pdf for Adobe to view. As a flatbed scanner, it works fine. Single pages are good. But trying to scan in multi-page documents just doesn't seem to be possible. Also, while they released a patch for the software, apparently to fix some sort of error popping up, there is still no real fix for the actual problem itself. As far as it goes, I have yet to actually see them acknowledge that there even is a problem.

Pros:
Nice feature set |
|
|
|
| Cons:
Terrible software (drivers, etc) The ADF will not work with Adobe Acrobat. Look in tech forums for other people complaining about this. No fix so far. The included software is huge, slow and stupid. HP should have spent more time on the TWAIN drivers because that's what matters. Even the WIA drivers. Something that works with software other than HP's lame stuff.

| Cons:
Slow and hard to use The scanner is slow. The page quality is not consistent. Feeder jams when scanning mulitple pages. Scans pages to different sizes. Doesn't allow auto features to be disabled. This is the worst scanner I have ever used and regret the purchase.
