NiCd no good, 850 mAh not enough

Cons:  short battery life, "memory effect" I have found several replacement options, such as the ER-P511 and the ENEERP511 - there are multiple options for NiMH replacements for the original P-P511 "type 24" battery that came with your phone. NiMH batteries of 1200 mAh can be obtained for about $10 plus shipping from several sources, just search the web for P-P511 or the model # of your phone.

Pros:  Can't think of any

Cons:  Battery didn't last a year in my phone I bought a brand new Panasonic 2.4 mHz phone last year and it worked fine at first. I could actually leave the handset out of the cradle for a couple of days and it still had enough juice left to make calls. Now, if I leave it out of the charger overnight the battery is dead. I'm replacing it with the Energizer NiMH equivalent. It should do much better due to better chemistry.

Cons:  Cons are the same as others already addressed After having my 5.8 GHz Panasonic phone's battery die after less than 10 months of use, I read this forum. Before replacing the batteries on the three phones, I called Panasonic and told them my problem and also told them about all the negative reviews found here. As all my phones were less than a year old, they agreed to send me three new batteries. I only needed to fax them my invoices re original purchases. The batteries they sent are Panasonic HHR-P402PED. They were free and are 3.6V 1000mAH
NI-MH. If you have your original paperwork, give Panasonic a chance as opposed to replacing batteries at your own expense.

Pros:  absolutely none!

Cons:  short life There is no excuse on the part of Panasonic for using this battery in 2004. I have several of the 5.8 GHz phones and I have had to replace batteries now after only a few hours of use. These batteries will not last if used for short or brief phone calls then placed back in the charger. They rapidly develop a "memory" which shortens their life to a few minutes or less in a very brief period of use (over 2-3 months).

I found these batteries to be very expensive as well: $27.00 at Best Buy for example. I am going to replace failed P-P511 from Panasonic with ER-P511 from Everyready.

Pros:  There aren't any...

Cons:  Too many to list This battery may hold its charge for about 5 minutes if you are lucky. The one good thing is that it sure will help cut down on your phone bill!!

Cons:  It's not the energizer... I recently purchased the Panasonic phone; I couldn't give the phone much of a review because the battery just does not last. I can't even talk on the phone for 15 minutes before it is telling me to recharge and this is after it has been in the cradle all day... this goes for both handsets.

I am reading the recommendations to use the Energizer ER-P511 and will take the advice. I along with my cohorts really have really no other options.

You'd better replace it with a NiMH

Cons:  All I had it full charged. But it would not allow me to talk for ten minutes. Go for Energizer ER-P511.

Cons:  Too many You are lucky if this godamn battery lasts for 30 mins. I charge it for the entire day and it lasts maybe 30 mins outside the cradle not even actual talk time and within 30 mins the 'recharge battery' starts flashing. I replacing this with a Energizer battery.
